This paper seeks to provide a clear and comprehensive overview of the system of exceptions established by the Belgian Law of 30 June 1994 on copyright and related in its 21-23 and 46-47. Various aspects are analyzed in the form of answers to specific questions, such as the nature of these exceptions, their closed system, their purpose, their interpretation by the courts and doctrine, the conditions for their application including remuneration systems, their mandatory character and their interaction with human rights.
