The time we spend with Him gives us a chance to get to * know Him, * understand Him and His ways better, * build a loving relationship with Him, * trust Him, and * find comfort in knowing His ways are better than our ways As we trust the Lord more, we find more comfort in knowing His ways are better than our ways. We want Him to direct our paths. Taking time out of our schedules to spend with the Lord is essential in our ability to trust in Him. This book, along with the Bible readings, can help us set aside a little time daily to spend with the Lord. A scripture with prayer time a day may go a long way. This book is a daily devotional consisting of scriptural readings and quick scriptural-based prayers that may be prayed daily for a quarter of the year (three months). If you want to spend more time in your devotion period, I encourage you to consider reading the complete corresponding chapter of Proverbs, in addition to the Scripture of the day. Don't let the busyness of the day keep you from having a regular prayer life, and taking a little time each day to pray. Get this book. Read the Scriptures, pray the prayers, and experience the benefits of a little prayer going a long way. Increase your trust in the Lord, and let Him direct your paths. "As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven He is a shield to all who trust in Him" (2 Samuel 22:31 NKJV).

Since Solomon according to God has wisdom that surpass all other men, his God inspired writings in the book of Proverbs are often studied as a means of gaining wisdom and understanding. God not only granted Solomon the wisdom he asked for, but God gave Solomon more riches and honor than any other king. Also, God stated that there has not been any man or woman before or after Solomon who has had as much wisdom as Solomon. Solomon's choice to acknowledge God as the one he wanted to please, by serving him well with the wisdom given (from God) to serve God and His people, gave Solomon favor with God and much more. If we make the same choice as Solomon, to acknowledge God as the one we want to please and ask for wisdom. Then serve God well with the wisdom He gives us. Maybe we too will find favor with God. Make the choice to acknowledge God as the one to please and seek wisdom through reading and praying using the book, "A Quarter of Proverbs" as a guide.
