Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book The Cognitive Artifacts of Designing

Download or read book The Cognitive Artifacts of Designing written by Willemien Visser and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2006-08-08 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this dynamic review and synthesis of empirical research and theoretical discussion of design as cognitive activity, Willemien Visser reconciles and integrates the classical view of design, as conceptualized by Herbert Simon's symbolic information processing approach, with modern views of design such as the situativity approach, as formulated by Donald Schon. The author goes on to develop her own view on design, in which design is most appropriately characterized as a construction of representations. She lays the groundwork for the integration of design research and cognitive science. This seemingly simple framework has implications that set the stage for this mutually beneficial integration.

Download or read book Recommender Systems written by Gérald Kembellec and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2014-12-04 with total page 245 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Acclaimed by various content platforms (books, music, movies) and auction sites online, recommendation systems are key elements of digital strategies. If development was originally intended for the performance of information systems, the issues are now massively moved on logical optimization of the customer relationship, with the main objective to maximize potential sales. On the transdisciplinary approach, engines and recommender systems brings together contributions linking information science and communications, marketing, sociology, mathematics and computing. It deals with the understanding of the underlying models for recommender systems and describes their historical perspective. It also analyzes their development in the content offerings and assesses their impact on user behavior.

Book Designing Human machine Cooperation Systems

Download or read book Designing Human machine Cooperation Systems written by Patrick Millot and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2014-07-09 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, on the ergonomics of human−machine systems, is aimed at engineers specializing in informatics, automation, production or robotics, who are faced with a significant dilemma during the conception of human−machine systems. On the one hand, the human operator guarantees the reliability of the system and has been known to salvage numerous critical situations through an ability to reason in unplanned, imprecise and uncertain situations; on the other hand, the human operator can be unpredictable and create disturbances in the automated system. The first part of the book is dedicated to the methods of human-centered design, from three different points of view, the various chapters focusing on models developed by human engineers and functional models to explain human behavior in their environment, models of cognitive psychology and models in the domain of automobile driving. Part 2 develops the methods of evaluation of the human−machine systems, looking at the evaluation of the activity of the human operator at work and human error analysis methods. Finally, Part 3 is dedicated to human−machine cooperation, where the authors show that a cooperative agent comprises a know-how and a so-called know-how-to-cooperate and show the way to design and evaluate that cooperation in real industrial contexts.

Download or read book L acc s l information en ligne moteurs dispositifs et m diations written by SIMONNOT Brigitte and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2012-04-16 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book L analyse du travail en psychologie ergonomique written by Jacques Leplat and published by Octarès Editions. This book was released on 1993 with total page 401 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Regards sur l activit en situation de travail written by Jacques Leplat and published by Presses Universitaires de France - PUF. This book was released on 1997 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

  • Pages : 125 pages

Download or read book Psychologie du travail written by Guy Karnas and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Qu'appelle-t-on exactement travail ?
