Book Proceedings of the Conference on Complex Analysis

Download or read book Proceedings of the Conference on Complex Analysis written by A. Aeppli and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 316 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains the articles contributed to the Minnesota Con ference on Complex Analysis (COCA). The Conference was held March 16-21, 1964, at the University of Minnesota, under the sponsorship of the U. S. Air Force Office of Scientific Research with thirty-one invited participants attending. Of these, nineteen presented their papers in person in the form of one-hour lectures. In addition, this volume con tains papers contributed by other attending participants as well as by participants who, after having planned to attend, were unable to do so. The list of particip ants, as well as the contributions to these Proceed ings, clearly do not represent a complete coverage of the activities in all fields of complex analysis. It is hoped, however, that these limitations stemming from the partly deliberate selections will allow a fairly com prehensive account of the current research in some of those areas of complex analysis that, in the editors' belief, have rapidly developed during the past decade and may remain as active in the foreseeable future as they are at the present time. In conclusion, the editors wish to thank, first of all, the participants and contributors to these Proceedings for their enthusiastic cooperation and encouragement. Our thanks are due also to the University of Min nesota, for offering the physical facilities for the Conference, and to Springer-Verlag for publishing these proceedings.

Book Carleson Curves Muckenhoupt Weights and Toeplitz Operators

Download or read book Carleson Curves Muckenhoupt Weights and Toeplitz Operators written by Albrecht Böttcher and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1997-09 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Award-winning monograph of the Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize 1997. This book is a self-contained exposition of the spectral theory of Toeplitz operators with piecewise continuous symbols and singular integral operators with piecewise continuous coefficients. It includes an introduction to Carleson curves, Muckenhoupt weights, weighted norm inequalities, local principles, Wiener-Hopf factorization, and Banach algebras generated by idempotents. Some basic phenomena in the field and the techniques for treating them came to be understood only in recent years and are comprehensively presented here for the first time. The material has been polished in an effort to make advanced topics accessible to a broad readership. The book is addressed to a wide audience of students and mathematicians interested in real and complex analysis, functional analysis and operator theory.

This book was released on 2006 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Topics of the Advanced Course in Operator Theory and Complex Analysis held in Seville in June 2004 ranged from determining the conformal type of Riemann surfaces, to concrete classical operators acting on classical spaces of analytic functions, passing through how the behaviour of the powers of the classical shift operator determines whether every function in a given space of analytic functions on the disk has non-tangential limits almost everywhere, and lattices of jointly invariant subspaces for two translations semigroup.

Book Linear and Complex Analysis Problem Book 3

Download or read book Linear and Complex Analysis Problem Book 3 written by Victor P. Havin and published by Springer. This book was released on 2006-12-08 with total page 517 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 2-volume book is an updated, reorganized and considerably enlarged version of the previous edition of the Research Problem Book in Analysis (LNM 1043), a collection familiar to many analysts, that has sparked off much research. This new edition, created in a joint effort by a large team of analysts, is, like its predecessor, a collection of unsolved problems of modern analysis designed as informally written mini-articles, each containing not only a statement of a problem but also historical and methodological comments, motivation, conjectures and discussion of possible connections, of plausible approaches as well as a list of references. There are now 342 of these mini- articles, almost twice as many as in the previous edition, despite the fact that a good deal of them have been solved!

Book Problems and Methods in Mathematical Physics

Download or read book Problems and Methods in Mathematical Physics written by Johannes Elschner and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 530 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume presents the proceedings of the 11th Conference on Problems and Methods in Mathematical Physics (11th TMP), held in Chemnitz, March 25-28, 1999. Book Algebra Complex Analysis and Pluripotential Theory

Download or read book Algebra Complex Analysis and Pluripotential Theory written by Zair Ibragimov and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-10-11 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book features papers presented during a special session on algebra, functional analysis, complex analysis, and pluripotential theory. Research articles focus on topics such as slow convergence, spectral expansion, holomorphic extension, m-subharmonic functions, pseudo-Galilean group, involutive algebra, Log-integrable measurable functions, Gibbs measures, harmonic and analytic functions, local automorphisms, Lie algebras, and Leibniz algebras. Many of the papers address the theory of harmonic functions, and the book includes a number of extensive survey papers. Graduate and researchers interested in functional analysis, complex analysis, operator algebras and non-associative algebras will find this book relevant to their studies. The special session was part of the second USA-Uzbekistan Conference on Analysis and Mathematical Physics held on August 8-12, 2017 at Urgench State University (Uzbekistan). The conference encouraged communication and future collaboration among U.S. mathematicians and their counterparts in Uzbekistan and other countries. Main themes included algebra and functional analysis, dynamical systems, mathematical physics and partial differential equations, probability theory and mathematical statistics, and pluripotential theory. A number of significant, recently established results were disseminated at the conference’s scheduled plenary talks, while invited talks presented a broad spectrum of findings in several sessions. Based on a different session from the conference, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems is also published in the Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics Series.
