Download or read book Pro Engineer Wildfire 5 0 Advanced Tutorial written by Roger Toogood and published by SDC Publications. This book was released on 2009 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of Pro/ENGINEER Advanced Tutorial is to introduce users to some of the more advanced features, commands, and functions in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0. Each lesson concentrates on a few of the major topics and the text attempts to explain the "why's" of the commands in addition to a concise step-by-step description of new command sequences. This book is suitable for a second course in Pro/ENGINEER for users who understand the features covered in Roger Toogood's Pro/ENGINEER Tutorial. The style and approach of the previous tutorial have been maintained. The material covered in this tutorial represents an overview of what is felt to be commonly used and important functions. These include customization of the working environment, advanced feature creation (sweeps, round sets, draft and tweaks, UDF's, patterns and family tables), layers, Pro/PROGRAM, and advanced drawing and assembly functions. Pro/ENGINEER Advanced Tutorial consists of eight lessons. A continuing theme throughout the lessons is the creation of parts for a medium-sized modeling project. The project consists of a small three-wheeled utility cart. Project parts are given at the end of each lesson that utilize functions presented earlier in that lesson. Final assembly is performed in the last lesson.

Download or read book Geometric Modelling written by Fumihiko Kimura and published by Springer. This book was released on 2013-06-29 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Geometric modelling has been an important and interesting subject for many years from the purely mathematical and computer science viewpoint, and also from the standpoint of engineering and various other applications, such as CAD/CAM, entertainment, animation, and multimedia. This book focuses on the interaction between the theoretical foundation of geometric modelling and practical applications in CAD and related areas. Geometric Modelling: Theoretical and Computational Basis towards Advanced CAD Applications starts with two position papers, discussing basic computational theory and practical system solutions. The well-organized seven review papers give a systematic overview of the current situation and deep insight for future research and development directions towards the reality of shape representation and processing. They discuss various aspects of important issues, such as geometric computation for space search and shape generation, parametric modelling, feature modelling, user interface for geometric modelling, geometric modelling for the Next Generation CAD, and geometric/shape standard. Other papers discuss features and new research directions in geometric modelling, solid modeling, free-form surface modeling, intersection calculation, mesh modeling and reverse engineering. They cover a wide range of geometric modelling issues to show the problem scope and the technological importance. Researchers interested in the current status of geometric modelling research and developments will find this volume to be an essential reference.
Download or read book Solid Modeling with Pro ENGINEER written by Brett H. Hamlin and published by . This book was released on 2000 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Designed for interest in Engineering Drawing, Engineering Graphics, and Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD). Based on a 3-D approach to design, this piece emphasizes how modeling is inherently different from 2-D CAD. Beginning with a brief introduction to the design process in the context of concurrent engineering, this book proceeds to cover topics such as the Pro/ENGINEER work environment, file management, sketching, revolution, applying and modeling 3-D constraints, features and feature-based modeling, lofting, sweeping, and extracting data from 3-D models. FEATURES/BENEFITS Each chapter includes a set of "Guided Tours" that walk users through features of Pro/ENGINEER. Encourages the reader "to learn by doing." Chapters conclude with an ample number of drawing problems. Help reinforce topics from the chapter. "Solid Modeling with Pro/ENGINEER" can be used on its own, or as a supplementary text to "3-D Visualization for Engineering Graphics," or any other Prentice Hall Graphics book.
