Most common congenitally missing tooth was the maxillary lateral incisor (39.4%) followed by the mandibular second premolar (34.1%). More females had dental agenesis (p = 0.0095). An observed trend suggests a familial component in the etiology of dental agenesis. No differences were observed when comparing Angle's dental classification and agenesis (p = 0.3654).
