This book was released on 2017-12-15 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Case of Mexico and the Policy of President Wilson In writing this book I have not been prompted by patriotic motives, however justifiable and reasonable such motives might appear, nor have I yielded to any partisan bias. My primary, perhaps my sole object, has been to acquaint the world with the real causes of the convulsion which is now shaking Mexico, my native country, its intensity and its significance, and with the actual principles which are at stake in this hour of agony; I also wish to show what a distorted conception the President of the United States has formed of the Mexican situation and what harmful consequences his attitude in the matter may have, not only for Mexico but for the United States as well. Book The Mexican Policy of President Woodrow Wilson as It Appears to a Mexican Classic Reprint

Download or read book The Mexican Policy of President Woodrow Wilson as It Appears to a Mexican Classic Reprint written by Manuel Calero and published by . This book was released on 2015-07-10 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Mexican Policy of President Woodrow Wilson, as It Appears to a Mexican This book has not been written in a spirit of impassioned criticism or disrespect, but solely for the purpose of fulfilling a patriotic duty. As a Mexican citizen and as a man who has had something to do with the public affairs of Mexico, I cannot fail to see with deep discouragement and humiliation the ruin of my country, brought about by a complication of facts in which the government of the United States has played an important part. I understand that it is perfectly proper for me to contribute to the study of this momentous question, when it is considered that in the solution of the Mexican problem the future of my country is involved. I have tried to be impartial. To attain this end I have avoided making any statement which could not be verified with documentary evidence. Book The Political Shame of Mexico Classic Reprint

Download or read book The Political Shame of Mexico Classic Reprint written by Edward I. Bell and published by . This book was released on 2015-09-27 with total page 454 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Political Shame of Mexico In this book are described many occurrences which the writer saw and the characters and acts of many persons whom he know more or less intimately. The knowledge which came through direct observation was supplemented, while it was being acquired and afterwards, by very fortunate investigations undertaken in the banning as a business necessity. During the time when the responsibility for Mexico was so securely fastened upon the United States that it could not be shaken off, the author of this volume was most favorably situated for the acquirement of information - and by that word is meant the core and not the rind. The distinction is vitally important, for in Mexico things are never what they seem. This general truth seems there to have a particular manifestation, for though Mexico is next neighbor to the United States, the government at Washington, if one may judge by its acts, has seen on the far side of the Rio Grande nothing but a series of illusions many of them artificially produced in a manner which I have here attempted to describe. It may be asserted with confidence that the mere outward and visible story of Mexico, a record of what happened on the surface from the last days of Diaz to the most recent incident of American interference, would puzzle rather than enlighten the usual reader, even though inaccurately told.
