Book Low Cost Automation

Download or read book Low Cost Automation written by A. De Carli and published by Pergamon. This book was released on 1991 with total page 532 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Symposium sought to cover a number of methods used to achieve low cost automation in industry today. The first half of the volume deals with the techniques developed to provide a low cost alternative; these include computer-aided design, electrical devices, P I D controllers, modelling, petri nets and systems. A further section covers components and instruments which affect such things as reliability aspects and new instrumentation. The papers in the second half of the volume cover the applications of the aforementioned techniques and are applied in general purpose control strategies, manufacturing and factory automation, and computer networks.

Download or read book Cost Oriented Automation 2004 written by Marek Zaremba and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2005-08-05 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cost Oriented Automation 2004 addresses a new integration environment that enables the evolution of collaborative e-design paradigm. This design paradigm aims at seamless and dynamic integration of distributed design objects and engineering tools over the internet.

Book Cost Oriented Automation

Download or read book Cost Oriented Automation written by Rolf Bernhardt and published by Pergamon. This book was released on 2002 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Proceedings contains the papers presented at the IFAC Symposium on Cost-Oriented Automation held in Berlin, Germany from 8-9 October 2001. Cost-Oriented Automation is one of IFAC's key technical areas and this regular symposium series has an excellent reputation. This Symposium was organised by the Technische Universitat Berlin/Center of Human-Machine Systems and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK-Berlin) on behalf of the VDI/VDE Gesellschaft fur Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik. The life cycle of automation systems, including design, production, operating, maintenance, reconfiguration and recycling, was considered with particular emphasis on cost effectiveness (cost of ownership). The Proceedings contains nearly 40 papers, including the papers presented at two industrial workshops on Virtual Programmable Logic Control and Lifecycle Costs, where new developments in these fields were presented and discussed. The topics of the eight regular sessions were: Controls for manufacturing systems Simulation of manufacturing systems and processes Actuators and sensors Programmable logic controls Robotics Information processing for shop floor control Human-machine interfac Implemented solutions

Book Robotics in Alpe Adria Region

Download or read book Robotics in Alpe Adria Region written by Peter Kopacek and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Industrial robots as a kind of a mechatronic system were the objects for intensive scientific research in the last years. Kinematics and kinetics, advanced control algorithms, flexible robots, mobile robots, cooperation of robots were research topics. Meanwhile the industrial robot is more or less a tool on the shop floor level like NC- and CNC-machines, transportation and storage devices. The current research landscape on industrial robots can be divided in two directions. The first direction is the scientific one and topics like fuzzy control, applications of neuronal networks, application of methods of artificial intelligence for robot control, optimal path planning are currently headlines in this field. On the other hand the application oriented research goes in the direction to develop and create new low-cost concepts including industrial robots applicable in a commercially efficient way mainly in small and medium sized companies. The industry in most of the member countries of the Alpe-Adria Group are dominated by small and medium sized companies. Industrial robots together with the appropriate CIM-concepts are a very efficient tool for increasing the flexibility of such companies. At the first meeting in Portoroz (June 1992), a first overview on robotics research and applications in Alpe-Adria countries was given. First steps were done in the direction of a broader cooperation in science, development, production and level of education among these countries.
