(2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Book Physics Practical for Engineers with Viva Voce

Download or read book Physics Practical for Engineers with Viva Voce written by Chandra Mohan Singh Negi and published by BrownWalker Press. This book was released on 2018-06-30 with total page 145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is one of enumerable self-help or how to books with an emphasis on Engineering Physics Practical. The basic premise of the book is that there are certain simple experiments, involving no more than rudimentary Physics laws and the very basic laws of Engineering Physics for undergraduate college engineering students. But these practical are often not done or taken lightly, for several reasons. First, people don’t realize how easy they are to do. Second, and more fundamental, they are not done because it does not occur to people to do them. Finally, and tragically, no one in their elementary, middle, or high school educational experience has stressed the importance of doing them, and of course neither did they teach to do them. This book is to reveal to you what the experiments are, make them readily understandable, and by means of a very easy-to-use illustrations. The main thing you should expect from this book is the theories and practical related small information more precisely about experiments. You will get a rudimentary understanding of the basic concepts behind the Engineering Physics experiment that governs the fundamental daily life questions that challenge us in life. The book is divided into seven major categories and Fifteen chapters. In this book the students will find solutions to experimental obstacles normally faced by undergraduate college engineering students. students. In summary, you don’t need any special background or ability to profit from this book.

Book The Really Useful Book of Secondary Science Experiments

Download or read book The Really Useful Book of Secondary Science Experiments written by Tracy-ann Aston and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-31 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How can a potato be a battery? How quickly will a shark find you? What food should you take with you when climbing a mountain? The Really Useful Book of Secondary Science Experiments presents 101 exciting, ‘real-world’ science experiments that can be confidently carried out by any KS3 science teacher in a secondary school classroom. It offers a mix of classic experiments together with fresh ideas for investigations designed to engage students, help them see the relevance of science in their own lives and develop a passion for carrying out practical investigations. Covering biology, chemistry and physics topics, each investigation is structured as a problem-solving activity, asking engaging questions such as, ‘How can fingerprints help solve a crime?’, or ‘Can we build our own volcano?’ Background science knowledge is given for each experiment, together with learning objectives, a list of materials needed, safety and technical considerations, detailed method, ideas for data collection, advice on how to adapt the investigations for different groups of students, useful questions to ask the students and suggestions for homework. Additionally, there are ten ideas for science based projects that can be carried out over a longer period of time, utilising skills and knowledge that students will develop as they carrying out the different science investigations in the book. The Really Useful Book of Secondary Science Experiments will be an essential source of support and inspiration for all those teaching in the secondary school classroom, running science clubs and for parents looking to challenge and excite their children at home.

Book Challenges Confronting Students in Conducting Effective Physics Practicals in Senior High Schools in Namoo District

Download or read book Challenges Confronting Students in Conducting Effective Physics Practicals in Senior High Schools in Namoo District written by Joshua Abanah Azechum and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2024-02-16 with total page 21 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2024 in the subject Didactics - Physics, grade: A(0.4), , course: Philosophy of Education, language: English, abstract: This research entails an in-depth exploration of the challenges encountered by students when conducting physics experiments. Employing a descriptive survey approach, the study involved 270 students and 7 teachers in the Namoo District. From this pool, a sample of 120 students and 4 teachers was randomly selected for analysis. Numerous challenges were identified during the research, including difficulties in identifying physics apparatus, mounting equipment, recording accurate readings, and making careful observations during experiments. Additionally, issues such as insufficient laboratory apparatus, the absence of a standard physics laboratory, and inadequate supervision were prominent. Based on the findings, recommendations have been proposed to address these challenges. These include ensuring the provision of adequate laboratory equipment and establishing standard physics laboratory facilities. By implementing these recommendations, it is hoped that the practical learning experience for students in senior high schools can be improved in the Namoo District.
