Weekly magazine of English and foreign literature, arts and sciences; in 1839 he edited the voyages of Sir John Mandeville; in 1842 he published an Account of European Manuscripts in the Chetham Library, in addition to a newly discovered 15th century metric romance (Torrent de Portugal).
