L'objectif de recherche de ce travail consiste à analyser à travers le vécu d'adolescents ayant réalisé un passage à l'acte suicidaire, leurs attentes vis-à-vis de leur médecin généraliste, en matière de relation et de prise en charge. Matériel et Méthode : une étude qualitative par entretiens semi dirigés a été menée auprès d'adolescents pris en charge initialement pour une tentative de suicide au C.H.U de Nîmes. Résultats : dix adolescents âgés de 13 à 18 ans ont été rencontrés. L'analyse thématique a permis de répondre à l'objectif principal. Les adolescents attendent de leur médecin traitant une écoute empathique et sans jugement, ils souhaitent être reçus seuls en consultation et dans le respect du secret médical. Le médecin généraliste doit rechercher derrière un motif de consultation somatique des demandes secondaires et rappeler ses fonctions de prise en charge somatique mais aussi psychologique ou relationnelle. Conclusion : le médecin généraliste peut représenter une personne ressource pour son patient adolescent en situation de souffrance psychologique. L'ancienneté de la relation est pour cela un atout majeur. L'instauration d'une consultation semestrielle pourrait permettre d'améliorer la relation médecin-adolescent et de favoriser le dialogue.
