Download or read book Poetry that Motivates written by Jerald Simon and published by Music Motivation. This book was released on 2020-09-04 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poetry is wonderful. It's inspirational and motivational - at least it should be. Every poem from this book was penned to hopefully inspire or motivate those who may need a poetic pick-me-up to help them on their way.The various themes of the poems from this book include: hope, happiness, belief, faith, strength, optimism, positivity, nobility, might, experience, improvement, preparedness, perspective, capability, responsibility, potential, setting goals, self improvement, selflessness, forgiving, virtue, restraint, perseverance, humility, courage, leadership, mentorship, integrity, patience, truth, honesty, creativity, success, accomplishment, befriending failure, overcoming our weaknesses, dreaming, achieving, and so much more.It is my hope that these motivational poems may encourage someone who needs encouragement. I hope these poems may instill hope to those who feel hopeless, increase faith in those individuals who are faithless, strengthen the weak, and give everyone a greater outlook and perspective on life. We see what we want to see. We believe what we want to believe. As a natural outcome of these beliefs, we experience what we have told ourselves we would experience, and that can limit us if our understanding and thinking is in any way restricting or belittling. The more positive we can be in speaking to ourselves and others, the more positive our overall experience in life will be. We can make the most of any situation - good or bad. It is my hope that we will look for the good and find it!This is actually my second motivational book of poems I have written and published. My first poetry book is titled, "The 'As If' Principle - Motivational Poetry," and features 222 motivational/inspirational poems I have written over the past 20 years. The majority of those poems, as well as many of these poems, were written for me personally. I often write poetry as a way to motivate myself to be better, to learn more, to express my shortcomings and weaknesses, and to write out how I plan to improve, progress, change, and see the world through new and improved eyes. Many of the poems in this new book were written with my three wonderful children in mind. I wanted to speak to them and teach them. The challenges we face today may differ entirely from the problems our parents, grandparents, and ancestors dealt with, and yet, everyone has problems that need solutions. That never changes. We all have good days and bad days. Everyone has trials, tribulations, struggles, and strife. Everyone has hopes, dreams, fears, frustrations, and everyone wants to be happy. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, but everyone is doing the very best they can with what they have. You can visit any distant plot of earth anywhere around the globe and you will find children laughing and playing together. Around the world, you will see family and friends smiling at each other and sharing memories, beloved family stories, and remembering the good times they have shared together while counting their blessings for having lived through difficult and trying times. We all experience excitement, enthusiasm, and pure adrenaline bursts of energy when we are living the good life and making the most of our precious moments here in mortality. We also know how depressing, dreary, and dark defeat and despair can be. We all have felt alive and on top of the world and we all have had times when we felt like giving up because for a while it seemed as though the world was collapsing all around us. We all have experienced our personal ups and downs. All people, regardless of size, gender, race, skin color, or beliefs are doing the best they can, but we all need help at times. With these poems, I hope to lift those who feel as if they have fallen into a pit of despair. I hope to help those who feel hopeless and helpless - that they may, through the words of these poems, find hope, healing, harmony, and happiness.

Book excerpt: When you act 'as if' you are foretelling your fate, your future is already known. Act as if it is possible, and the seeds of fulfillment are sown. (from the poem "Act as If..." by Jerald M. Simon) The 'As If' Principle (motivational poetry) by Jerald M. Simon features 222 original motivational poems written by Jerald to inspire and motivate men and women, businesses and organizations, leaders/mentors/advisers and teachers and students. The poems were written to teach values, bring out the best in people, and encourage everyone everywhere to be and do their best. The poems were written over a 20 year period (1993 - 2012) and contain motivational advice about never giving up, doing what it takes, believing in yourself and your abilities and believing in others - in the best that others can do - in their dreams, aspirations, goals, plans, purpose, and possibility. The poems focus on such topics as: Believing, Honor, Courage, Success, Strength, Will Power, Leadership, Possibility, Confidence, Goals and Goal Setting, Optimism, Rising Above Mediocrity, Character and Heart, Never Doubting Yourself, Being Productive, Thinking and Knowing You Can, Learning from Adversity, Doing What It Takes and What Must Be Done, Smiling and Being Happy, Seeing the Good In Others, Forgiving, Seeing Our Own Potential and the Potential of Others, Learning Life Lessons, Righting the Wrong, Being a Self Starter, Learning to Control Our Words, and many more. Here is the first poem from the book "The 'As If' Principle": Act as If... by Jerald M. Simon Copyright © 2010 by Jerald M. Simon All Rights Reserved Act as if you are confident - even if you are not. Confidence, you will find, is a state of mind, the fulfillment of attitude evolving with time. True confidence is a trait of character, not a boastful or prideful talk. Always act with sincere humility, then with true confidence you will walk. Act as if you are affluent, even when you're the beggar in need. Wealth you will find, will often leave you behind, if it's attainment will make you unkind. True wealth is not measured with money, but with love, and knowledge and health. Act as if you're least of all men, and then you shall find true wealth. Act as if you are noble, even if your nobility's numb. Act as if you are a servant, even if your own kingdom has come. When you act 'as if' you are foretelling your fate, your future is already known. Act as if it is possible, and the seeds of fulfillment are sown. Copyright © 2010 by Jerald M. Book Me You and My Point of View

Download or read book Me You and My Point of View written by Alipio Fernandes and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2013-09-26 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I had never saved any of my poems anywhere before, other than in my mind. Its obvious that I dont remember all of them now, but I wish I could. I love to look at and observe pictures of nature and write poems or quotes about them, like most of my poems in this book. When I was younger and living in a studio apartment, I used to write poems and quotes and hung them on the living room/bedroom wall, including the bathroom. That was a type of self-motivation for me, being a single guy living by myself at the time. Every time I looked around, there was a poem or quote that would help me throughout the day. In this book, Im talking about myself, my own experiences, my point of view, and Im also talking about you: the things I experienced with you or noticed in you and things that happened or could happen to you. You could be you, the reader, or someone else.

Book excerpt: Written 75 years ago, Desiderata achieved fame as the anthem of the sixties' hippie-dom - the subject of many millions of posters and handbills - and famously narrated by Les Crane in his 1971 song version of the poem. Over the years Desiderata has provided a kind and gentle philosophy, a refreshing perspective on life's bigger picture. This new presentation of the prose poem will bring it to the attention of a new generation. The origins of Desiderata were, for many years, shrouded in mystery. Once thought to have originated from St. Paul's Church in Baltimore, Maryland in the seventeenth century it was later discovered that American poet Max Ehrmann had written it in 1927. Presented in a refreshingly modern design, Desiderata will appeal to a younger generation looking to find the meaning of life, and to baby-boomers who'll recall Desiderata from their youth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It doesn't come as a surprise that "motivation" is the phenomenon that keeps us going and it brings along with it the feeling of aspiration and optimism that encourages us to move on with hope. Ever desired a book with motivational poems? Here are 20 poems finally compiled into one book. These are not just any poems, but are very motivational poems, that will help you succeed and prosper in your future endeavors. These poems are lessons that every person should take at least once in their lifetime. In short, it is a road to success through poetry. It's a road to improving your lifestyle through motivating yourself and staying consistent. This book will create an aura of confidence that shall alleviate and resolve most of the regular daily problems that we face in our daily life. This book will help you break down the walls of "no's" and build the "yes I can". It will take you to those heights of prosperity and victory that you had desired. It's nothing but human nature, from time to time, all you require is that tiny push that would reconcile a myriad of solutions for your problems. That push is found here in this book, to go on, to move on and to proceed. This book illuminates and prepares different lessons that we stand in need of from time to time. It depicts how family and friends are far more important than modern day technology and how they are the ones that deserve more of your time rather than these technological distractions that take up most of our time and we don't even realize. This book also explains the concept "behind every great man is a woman," how much respect a woman deserves. The benefit of a woman's support can never be overemphasized and she is the reason why the man can actually reach his goals and set his standards high. She's the one who sets the seeds for the big plant that slowly and gradually cultivates; she sets the foundation, builds the empire, and manages it all at once and yet keeps the family together. It teaches how to get the best out of something in a positive way rather than the negative. Poems like these engender the motivation and galvanize us to at least make an effort and try to do something rather than not trying at all. It persuades us that hard work never ever goes to waste. Many poems in this book tell us mistakes should never ever be regretted. Mistakes may cause a temporary harm, but in the long, run they are always beneficial and leave behind lessons that lead us to correct ourselves, at the same time motivates us to not make those same mistakes again. Rather learn from them, and make sure we do even better next time. We should never be too harsh on ourselves because, after every bad day, comes another day, another day to improve ourselves, another day to work harder, another day to challenge ourselves. One should seize the day and live it like it's the last day. We need to reason with ourselves and with others so we can stimulate a positive energy that both parties can benefit from. The good times don't stay neither do the bad. There's always a rainbow shining through and the end of a storm. Embracing the problems is key! Running from problems has never solved any, and the problems stayed till they wanted to. We need to mobilize ourselves that way and one can always refer to the poems from time to time to gain that extra energy and spark to boost and ignite the fire inside us to put out the positivity out there in the world for everyone to experience. It's really ironic how poetry plays such a vital role in our daily lives and yet we take it for granted. We should really be thankful for the amazing source of inspiration and motivation poetically engineered in this "SUCCESS THROUGH POETRY" book for all.
