He married Jane Syllima Miles (1844-1916), daughter of Lester Miles (1814-1887) and Catherine Eliza Parker (1821-1890) in 1876. They had two sons, Ray (1878-1958) and Roy (1884-1968). Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Massachusetts, Connecticut and England.
