Book Peace Within Through God s Way

Download or read book Peace Within Through God s Way written by John H. Dolcater Jr. and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2019-04-16 with total page 363 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I want to encourage committed Christians, Sunday church attendees, and nonbelievers to search for a deeper sense of understanding of how and where to find the peace within themselves. Remember each of us has both a gift and a purpose that we should fulfill and utilize as we proceed on our life’s journey. Always do your best to exhibit to others in your countenance and your actions that you are a follower of Jesus. Let patience, faithfulness, love, mercy, and self-control be exercised on a consistent basis. If we follow this pathway in a conscientious manner, others will be interested in our realm of happiness and peace of mind. It’s equally important for us to read the Bible on a regular basis to both deepen our faith and to learn and be able to explain to others the promises of God that broaden our understanding and commitment. By following this initiative, we will bring others to Christ and, at the same time, deepen our own faith and commitment. Most importantly, have a purposeful prayer connection with our Lord. Open your heart in praise and thanksgiving for the blessings that have been extended to you and your family. Ask humbly for forgiveness for the transgressions that you have committed through the week. Only then, ask for the needs or desires that you feel will lead you to a more committed life for God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Ask the Lord for guidance as you proceed forward in your quest to learn more and to gain understanding and experience in your own personal closeness with God. As you feel purpose for yourself, do not be selfish, but enthusiastically share your peace of mind with others. May the unfolding of my words ignite your search for the true riches of peace of mind through your faith and reliance in Jesus Christ.

Book Peace with God

  • Publisher : Thomas Nelson

  • ISBN : 1418569070
  • Pages : 223 pages

Download or read book Peace with God written by Billy Graham and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2011-11-21 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It May Not Be a Coincidence That This Book Has Crossed Your Path... In Peace with God Dr. Billy Graham asks God to help this book “find its way into the hands and hearts of a lost, confused, and searching world . . . men, women, and young people everywhere [who] thirst for peace with God.” In spite of a life drenched with responsibilities and rewards, are you thirsting? Searching for some nameless thing that is more important than anything in life? You are not alone. All mankind is seeking the answer to the confusion, the moral sickness, the spiritual emptiness that oppresses the world. All humanity is crying out for guidance, for comfort . . .for peace. Dr. Graham shares God’s gentle, reassuring promise of spiritual calm—of authentic personal peace—amidst a personal life wracked with too much stress, too many burdens, too great a heartache. “I know men who would write a check for a million dollars if they could find peace,” writes Dr. Graham. “Millions are searching for it. But we Christians have found it! It is ours now and forever. We have found the secret of life! . . .When your spouse dies or your children get sick or you lose your job, you can have a peace that you don’t understand. You may have tears at a graveside, but you can have an abiding peace, a quietness. “God’s peace can be in your heart—right now . . .Whatever the circumstances, whatever the call, whatever the duty, whatever the price, whatever the sacrifice—His strength will be your strength in your hour of need. “It’s all yours, and it’s free. You don’t have to work for it . . . . Do not put it off.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since conflict and war continue to threaten and destroy us, how do we find peace? And how do we understand the teaching of the bible about war and peace? In fifteen brief chapters, Lois Barrett explores the themes of war and peace in the Bible. She examines how God worked with the nation Israel in Old Testament times. Peace was found, not in waging war, but through faith in God. Security was won, not through human effort, but through trust in God’s actions. “Instead of trusting in modern weapons [horses and chariots], Israel was to trust God to win the battle,” the author writes. After Israel made a covenant with God at Schechem, God said, “I gave you a victory . . . . Your swords and bows had nothing to do with it” (Joshua 24:11-12. TEV). Can the way of love really overcome enemies? Explore in the author’s easy-to-read style how the weapons of God’s kind of warfare can lead to peace.
