Download or read book Buscar la filosof a en las ciencias sociales written by Mario Bunge and published by Siglo XXI. This book was released on 1999 with total page 596 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Filosof a para Polic as written by Jose Luis Ruiz and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2012-09 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Cities Capitalism and the Politics of Sensibilities

Download or read book Cities Capitalism and the Politics of Sensibilities written by Adrián Scribano and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-01-09 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the connections between the processes of social structuring and sensibilities in contemporary cities. The transformations of capitalism on a global scale imply reconfigurations both in the way of planning and organizing cities, and in the ways of dwelling and feeling them. The generalization of the urban, the suburbanization of the metropolis, and classified and racializing segregation, just to mention some significant phenomena, not only introduce changes linked to the forms of consumption of the city and the land, the appropriation and privatization of collective places, the strategic revaluation of urban times / spaces, or the establishment of new centralities. They also involve changes in sensibilities, which translate into substantial transformations in the lives of people and groups that dwell in cities in the Global North and South. Based on various empirical records and methodological procedures, the chapters included in this book establish a fertile dialogue between collaborators from different geocultural contexts that locate urban experiences and sensibilities as a point of articulation to address the processes of social structuring on a global scale.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Language Truth and Democracy

Download or read book Language Truth and Democracy written by Margit Gaffal and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2020-08-24 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of this volume is to investigate three fundamental issues of the new millennium: language, truth and democracy. The authors approach the themes from different philosophical perspectives. One group of authors examines the use of language and the meaning of concepts from an analytic point of view, the ontology of scientific terms and explores the nature of knowledge in general. Another group examines truth and types of relation. A third group of authors focuses on the current factors influencing our concept of democracy and its legal foundations and makes reference to moral aspects and the question of political responsibility. The chapters provide the reader with an overview of current philosophical problems and the answers to these questions will be decisive for future development.
