Book P is for Poop and Pee Accidents A Child s View

Download or read book P is for Poop and Pee Accidents A Child s View written by Amy E. Sturkey and published by Gotcha Apps, LLC. This book was released on 2022-08 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does your child have a friend, family member, or classmate who has poop or pee accidents? Would you like your child or children to understand more about bowel or bladder accidents? Are you looking for an engaging way to start a dialogue about these problems? I wrote this book to help solve these challenges. P is for Poop and Pee Accidents is a children's picture book in an ABC format. With delightful illustrations, this book teaches common issues in people with these kinds of accidents. A child who has accidents narrates this book from his (or her) point of view. As with my previous books, I deliberately focused on a child with more significant bowel and bladder problems. Some children may have only bladder accidents. Some children never have bladder accidents and jump right to bowel accidents. The child in this book sees a doctor who provides a treatment plan to address his/her issues. I cannot stress enough that a trained professional should address your child's bowel and bladder problems. This book should only prepare you for the types of treatment that a medical professional might recommend.I hope P is for Poop and Pee Accidents provides an entertaining way to start a simple educational discussion about managing bowel and bladder difficulties. I invite you to read this story interactively with your child. Encourage discussions of how you or people you love might be like the child in this book. This book provides essential opportunities to discuss how to be a friend to a child who experiences these kinds of problems. As a pediatric physical therapist, I work with children who have accidents. Unfortunately, others often misunderstand the actions and behaviors of people who experience such difficulties. As a result, people can be very unkind to children with these kinds of accidents. I believe knowledge helps break down barriers and encourages kindness and patience. Assisting children to understand poop and pee accidents at a young age is powerful. I hope this book provides knowledge and empowerment for your child.

Book excerpt: Is your child struggling with pooping, constipation, potty accidents or is withholding their poop? Dash can help! This book contains the three books, "Dash's Belly Ache," "Dash's Potty Accidents," and "Dash Decides Going Potty is Awesome!" all in one volume. These three stories help children who are struggling with toileting issues. Dash's stories are relatable for toddlers and young children who are having a hard time with potty training, potty accidents, constipation, or withholding. Dash's Belly Ache Is your child struggling with pooping or is withholding their poop? Sometimes all it takes is one painful poop for a child to have a fear of having a bowel movement. Or chronic constipation can cause painful pooping which triggers fear of having a bowel movement. Their fear often leads to withholding, anxiety about using the toilet, and potty training regression. Sometimes these issues persist, even after the child is no longer suffering from chronic constipation or painful bowel movements. It is difficult to overcome a young child's fear and anxiety with reasoning. This can be extremely frustrating for us as parents, and for our children who are struggling. Dash's Belly Ache is a simple, gentle story about Dash, a dog who doesn't want to poop. His experience in the story will help reassure your child, lessen their anxiety, and help them overcome their fear of pooping. Dash's story is relatable for toddlers and young children who are having a hard time with potty training, constipation, or withholding. Bright and fun illustrations Lovable dog characters Perfect for toddlers and young children Easy storyline for your child to follow Dash's Potty Accidents Oh no! Dash is having potty accidents! Dash models actionable steps that will help your little one overcome their potty accidents. Helps your little one recognize the signs that they have to go Models the steps your child needs to do to stop potty accidents A cute and fun story that will be relatable to your little one. Your child won't feel alone in their struggle with potty accidents. Dash Decides Going Potty is Awesome! Dash is nervous about going potty away from home! Dash is afraid of automatic flush toilets and loud paw dryers. He holds his potty at school and has to rush to go when he gets home. This all has Mama worried. Mama helps Dash overcome his worries so he can go potty whenever and wherever he needs to go. Dash feels so much better and decides that going potty is AWESOME! Perfect for children with sensory issues who fear automatic toilets and loud hand dryers. Helpful for children who withhold at school or away from home. Book Oh Crap Potty Training

Download or read book Oh Crap Potty Training written by Jamie Glowacki and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2015-06-16 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From potty-training expert and social worker Jamie Glowacki, who’s already helped over half a million families successfully toilet train their preschoolers, comes a newly revised and updated guide that’s “straight-up, parent-tested, and funny to boot” (Amber Dusick, author of Parenting: Illustrated with Crappy Pictures). Worried about potty training? Let Jamie Glowacki, potty-training expert, show you how it’s done. Her six-step, proven process to get your toddler out of diapers and onto the toilet has already worked for tens of thousands of kids and their parents. Here’s the good news: your child is probably ready to be potty trained EARLIER than you think (ideally, between 20–30 months), and it can be done FASTER than you expect (most kids get the basics in a few days—but Jamie’s got you covered even if it takes a little longer). If you’ve ever said to yourself: -How do I know if my kid is ready? -Why won’t my child poop in the potty? -How do I avoid “potty power struggles”? -How can I get their daycare provider on board? -My kid was doing so well—why is he regressing? -And what about nighttime?! Oh Crap! Potty Training can solve all of these (and other) common issues. This isn’t theory, you’re not bribing with candy, and there are no gimmicks. This is real-world, from-the-trenches potty training information—all the questions and all the answers you need to do it once and be done with diapers for good.

From "A is for Ask" to "F is for Flush" to "G is for Good Job!" this empowering message will turn potty training into a fun, rewarding experience for everyone-especially your child!"A big-eyed, blond boy is the star in the simple, eye-catching illustrations for each letter, beginning with "Aa is for Ask"-as in the unlikely question, "Can I go to the bathroom, please?" Putting a book that promotes positive toilet training into alphabetical form is a tall order, but Mutunga manages to create a reasonable, enjoyable line through the potty training process."-Kirkus Reviews "The illustrations are bright and engaging, and the look of excitement on the potty training toddler's face just might be contagious - which is good news for parents trying to give a reluctant tike a little nudge into potty training. Likewise, the parents' role is portrayed in the illustrations as both supportive and celebratory, cheering on their little one through potty victory, and working through a few accidents as well." -Colleen Brunetti, M.Ed., C.H.C.
