Download or read book Oxydation du m thane basse temp rature sur des catalyseurs base de m taux pr cieux written by Laetitia Urfels and published by . This book was released on 2003 with total page 198 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2007 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2008 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This research work deals with CH4 oxidation coming from road transport, CH4 being a well-known greenhouse gas, with CH4 removal from exhaust gas of Diesel engine. Total CH4 oxidation has been studied : - At low temperature by Plasma/Catalysis process : from all the systems tested, the combination of a coaxial DBD non-thermal plasma combined with Pd/Al2O3 catalyst in POST-plasma position allows to convert 30 % of CH4 with an energy of 225 J.L-1 (Q=600 mL.min-1, N2/O2/CO2/H2O/0.5%CH4, T=250 °C, H=150 mm) while minimising O3 production and avoiding NOx production. However, the power consumed (> kW) is too significant for prospective vehicle applications. - At low temperature on Pd/Al2O3 catalysts (light-off temperature) : the re-oxidation step of Pd° is faster on small particles but CH4 activation is more difficult due to stabilization of small PdO particles by the support. A series of reductant pulses (CH4 or C3H6) in isothermal conditions allows to activate the catalyst and to reach a maximum of conversion. - At high temperature on Pd/(modified oxide) catalysts (peak at high temperature) : (La, Sr, Ba, Mn) doped alumina preparation with a specific surface area of 50 m2.g-1 allows to reach 90 % of CH4 conversion at 700 °C and to maintain an excellent thermal stability. A Mars and van-Krevelen mechanism, with oxygen transfer from support to palladium particles is proposed in order to explain catalytic activity and thermal stability differences in comparison to the Pd/Al2O3 reference catalyst.

SOUIRI OUSALAH and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DANS CE TRAVAIL, ON COMPARE LES REACTIONS D'OXYDATION ET D'ACTIVATION DU METHANE EFFECTUEES SUR DES CATALYSEURS OXYDES DE METAUX DE TRANSITION ET DE TERRES-RARES LORSQU'ILS SONT IRRADIES PAR MICROONDE ET CHAUFFES DANS UN FOUR CLASSIQUE. L'INSTALLATION MICROONDE UTILISEE PERMET D'OBTENIR UN CHAMP ELECTROMAGNETIQUE INTENSE ET HOMOGENE CAPABLE DE CHAUFFER DES CATALYSEURS AYANT DES PERTES DIELECTRIQUES FAIBLES. POUR LES CATALYSEURS D'OXYDATION DE STRUCTURE PEROVSKITES: LACO#3, SMCOO#3 ET LANIO#0#,#5 FE0#,#5O#3 LES QUANTITES DE PRODUIS FORMES EN MICROONDE SONT IDENTIQUES A CELLES OBTENUES DANS LE CAS D'UN CHAUFFAGE CLASSIQUE. L'ACTION DU CHAMP ELECTROMAGNETIQUE SUR CES CATALYSEURS S'EXPLIQUE PAR UN SIMPLE CHAUFFAGE DES CATALYSEURS. DE MEME, POUR LES CATALYSEURS D'ACTIVATION DU METHANE LA#2O#3 ET LA#2ZR#2O#3 L'ACTIVATION DU CHAMP ELECTROMAGNETIQUE NE SE DISTINGUE PAS D'UN SIMPLE CHAUFFAGE. PAR CONTRE, POUR LES CATALYSEURS D'ACTIVATION DU METHANE A SAVOIR: SMLIO#2, (SMLIO#2)#0#,#8(CAO-MGO)#0#,#2 ET (LALIO#2)#0#,#6#7(SRO-MGO)#0#,#3#3, LE CHAMP ELECTROMAGNETIQUE A POUR EFFET D'AUGMENTER LA SELECTIVITE ET LE RENDEMENT DES PRODUITS ETHANE ET ETHYLENE. L'ENSEMBLE DES RESULTATS S'INTERPRETE EN SUPPOSANT QUE LE CHAMP ELECTROMAGNETIQUE AGIT EN EXCITANT SELECTIVEMENT CERTAINES ATOMES D'OXYGENES DONT LA MOBILITE ELECTRIQUE EST ACCRUE PAR LA DEFORMATION DU CRISTAL DUE AU DOPAGE. PAR AILLEURS, IL FAUT NOTER QUE LE CATALYSEUR EST PORTE A UNE TEMPERATURE SUPERIEURE DE CELLE DE LA PHASE GAZEUSE LORSQUE LE CATALYSEUR EST IRRADIE PAR UN CHAMP ELECTROMAGNETIQUE. CECI LIMITE LES REACTIONS SECONDAIRES QUI CONDUISENT A LA FORMATION DE MONOXYDE ET DE DIOXYDE DE CARBONE ET QUI ONT LIEU EN GENERAL DANS LA PHASE GAZEUSE

This book was released on 2003 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Faecal Sludge Management

Download or read book Faecal Sludge Management written by Linda Strande and published by IWA Publishing. This book was released on 2014-08-15 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is estimated that literally billions of residents in urban and peri-urban areas of Africa, Asia, and Latin America are served by onsite sanitation systems (e.g. various types of latrines and septic tanks). Until recently, the management of faecal sludge from these onsite systems has been grossly neglected, partially as a result of them being considered temporary solutions until sewer-based systems could be implemented. However, the perception of onsite or decentralized sanitation technologies for urban areas is gradually changing, and is increasingly being considered as long-term, sustainable options in urban areas, especially in low- and middle-income countries that lack sewer infrastructures. This is the first book dedicated to faecal sludge management. It compiles the current state of knowledge of the rapidly evolving field of faecal sludge management, and presents an integrated approach that includes technology, management, and planning based on Sandecs 20 years of experience in the field. Faecal Sludge Management: Systems Approach for Implementation and Operation addresses the organization of the entire faecal sludge management service chain, from the collection and transport of sludge, and the current state of knowledge of treatment options, to the final end use or disposal of treated sludge. The book also presents important factors to consider when evaluating and upscaling new treatment technology options. The book is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, and engineers and practitioners in the field who have some basic knowledge of environmental and/or wastewater engineering.

Book Food Chemistry Research Developments

Download or read book Food Chemistry Research Developments written by Konstantinos N. Papadopoulos and published by Nova Publishers. This book was released on 2008 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Food chemistry is the study of chemical processes and interactions of all biological and non-biological components of foods. The biological substances include such items as meat, poultry, lettuce, beer, and milk as examples. It is similar to biochemistry in its main components such as carbohydrates, lipids, and protein, but it also includes areas such as water, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, food additives, flavours, and colours. This discipline also encompasses how products change under certain food processing techniques and ways either to enhance or to prevent them from happening. An example of enhancing a process would be to encourage fermentation of dairy products with lactic acid; an example of a preventing process would be stopping the Maillard reaction on the surface of freshly cut Red Delicious apples whether by hand or mechanical methods. This book presents the recent research from around the world in this field.

Book Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies Vol 13 2010 2011

Download or read book Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies Vol 13 2010 2011 written by Catherine Barnard and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2011-12-15 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies provides a forum for the scrutiny of significant issues in EU Law, the law of the European Convention on Human Rights, and Comparative Law with a 'European' dimension, and particularly those issues which have come to the fore during the year preceding publication. The contributions appearing in the collection are commissioned by the Centre for European Legal Studies (CELS) Cambridge, a research centre in the Law Faculty of the University of Cambridge specialising in European legal issues. The papers presented are at the cutting edge of the fields which they address, and reflect the views of recognised experts drawn from the University world, legal practice, and the institutions of both the EU and its Member States. Inclusion of the comparative dimension brings a fresh perspective to the study of European law, and highlights the effects of globalisation of the law more generally, and the resulting cross fertilisation of norms and ideas that has occurred among previously sovereign and separate legal orders. The Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies is an invaluable resource for those wishing to keep pace with legal developments in the fast moving world of European integration.
