This is a fun adventure into how the Bible is the incomparable Book for understanding everyday problems and solving them," John Pantermuehl, International Christian business man. "This book is a gift, being short and simple without being simplistic," Bob Walker "This wonderful handbook by Zander is seasoned with just the right amount righteousness mixed with God's humor and His plan for your life. A short chapter a day keeps satan away. To hell with him," Judy and Diane Fordinski, Scenic Ranch In The Conservative Christian, author Alexander "Zander" Johnston, presents a holistic and integrated principle-centered approach for solving personal spiritual problems. With penetrating insights and pointed anecdotes, zander reveals a step-by-step pathway for living with fairness, integrity, honesty and human dignity-principles that gives us the security to adapt to the truth and the wisdom and power to take advantage of God's easy path and not our difficult ego's path. Fundamentals are the key to a successful Christian Life. Zander Johnston is a master of them. Buy his book, but most importantly . . . use it! The Journey of the Conservative Christian Zander was in his thirties when a neighbor invited him to a church in Houston. The minister there was a scholar in the languages of the Bible. The studies were very intense covering not only the original translations, but exegeting every verse to understand the time in which it was written. He never intended to write this book. It began by writing a weekly letter to folks who could not attend a regular church. This activity covered about three years. He moved from one home to another and the writing of the letters stopped. Later that year he was at a gathering of business associates who had also been the recipients of those letters. He was asked, "Did you lose my e-mail address?" "We shared those letters at church" or "I haven't received my letter that we shared on Facebook." That was only the beginning of that week of unexpected revelations. On Friday of the same week about 2 am, he heard a voice in his bedroom and he sat straight up. "You have not created anything in almost a year!" said a voice. That morning, he started writing again and adding more people to the list that he had thought were only a few dozen. To his surprise, the list grew to more than 500 people. Then for no reason, Gmail stated that it must be spam and the letters stopped again. A friend came to him and asked what happened. He told her and she said, "You have written a book and those letters are the chapters, publish it." God sent prepared people to help him with the editing and Christian Faith Publishing accepted the manuscript. You will, as all those others who first read the Sunday Letters, enjoy The Conservative Christian and no, he has not stopped writing.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This a devotion themed from the authors first book Beyond Destiny. It has been structured as a devotion allowing the reader to meditate on smaller portions and themes that are found in its pages for daily or timely inspiration. Too often in our struggle to know God and comprehend his Infinite love it seems so unimaginable that we begin to discount it and we stray and lose our way and our relationship with God. This is a burden and conflict for a believer or a seekers who come face to face with their own persistent imperfections, finding it hard to believe God can forgive or love them as they have told others. We struggle to apply the faith we encourage others to accept. We often say "come as your are" to unbelievers because it is what we hope for ourselves but think it to grand for us. Will God love you and welcome you back as he does the sinners in the bible? Why would God forgive you? How does Grace work for you or can it? Real questions needing real answers.

Download or read book Trading My Sorrows written by Jerry Woodbridge and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2010-11-15 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a moment in each widow or widowers life where a decision must be made. The choice is whether to trade her/his unexpected sorrows for the life of the past or embrace the future. Yes, Lord! This book offers multiple perspectives on widowhood. It is a collaborative effort that began with a small group of young widows that met for fellowship and encouragement over Thursday lunches. Our conversations ranged from how to cope with our grief to dealing with our own realities as single parents and unexpected widows. Jerry began to keep a journal, which lead her and Vickie to writing devotionals from a widows perspective. This project expanded as awareness arose of other widow and widowers who were open to sharing their stories of going through the mourning process. Healing began when we traded our stories with each other and found the joy of the Lord. Journals can help us remember the details of moments that framed our lives, and sometimes to help others with theirs. Jerry Woodbridge opens her lifes pages and affords us an articulate glimpse of hope for whatever comes our way. Jerry Pattengale, Executive Director of National Conversations, Assistant Provost, IWU An inspiring memoir of a widows journey through grief and how her strong christian faith guided her to find peace and strength in her sorrow. JoAnne Funch, Heartache To Healing Life can make us bitter or better. The writers of Trading My Sorrows have exchanged their grief for the Saviors grace. In these pages, you too will find hope and help. Romans 8:28 is fleshed out in the lives of these fellow travelers and strugglers. Be encouraged to join them on the road to healing and a better life of usefulness. Chaplain John Wrightsman, Indiana Wesleyan University As a young widow myself, I am so excited about this book, especially as it affirms that we have a choice to continue dwelling in the pain or turning toward healing and living again. What Jerry has done with this book is refreshing and inspiring, offering hope to fellow widows as they experience their own journey from pain to renewal of living with loss and beyond. Michelle E.
