Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our Rotating Universe By: Ninh Vinh Loi Today, with the comfortable and convenient living we have, we feel happy with the way we are. But we may forget the time when we human beings were living in just a few hundred years ago. It’s completely different, isn’t it? With the contributions of all of the scientists around the world we have what we have now. But when we look toward the future, we foresee that we have a lot of troubles ahead. The resources of our earth are drying up every day. The problem of our population is growing rapidly. A nuclear war can accidentally happen and so on and on. We are working hard to find the solution for all our problems. We know that scientists around the world are trying to find out the root of the universe and from that they create the technologies, following up through the philosophies and experiments. We know that philosophy is just a theory with a lot of assumptions and any experiments have very limited results. We need more and more experiments. So far we have the Large Hadron Collider in Europe. But the result turns out that we have more questions and problems added to the previous problems we had. What is dark matter? The black hole? What came before the Big Bang? Will the “God Particle” destroy the universe?

In this book, we discuss the structure of the Universe, certain aspects of its evolution, energy, matter, space, and time. We combine elements of psychology, cosmology, and astrophysics to discover secrets hidden deep in the Universe. ‘Can we picture to ourselves a three-dimensional universe which is finite, yet unbounded? The usual answer to this question is “No,” but that is not the right answer.’ Albert Einstein ‘Geometry and Experience’ (1922) Stay well, and enjoy your reading. Book excerpt: Modern astronomical teaching affirms that the world we live on is a globe, which rotates, revolves, and spins away in space at brain-reeling rates of speed; that the sun is a million and a-half times the size of the earth-globe, and nearly a hundred million miles distant from it; that the moon is about a quarter the size of the earth; that it receives all its light from the sun, and is thus only a reflector, and not a giver, of light; that it attracts the body of the earth and thus causes the tides; that the stars are worlds and suns, some of them equal in importance to our own sun himself, and others vastly his superior; that these worlds, inhabited by sentient beings, are without number and occupy space boundless in extent and illimitable in duration; the whole of these interlaced bodies being subject to, and supported by, universal gravitation, the foundation and father of the whole fabric. To fanciful minds and theoretical speculators, the so-called “science” of modern astronomy furnishes a field, unsurpassed in any science for the unrestrained license of the imagination, and the building up of a complicated conjuration of absurdities such as to overawe the simpleton and make him gape with wonder; to deceive even those who truly believe their assumptions to be facts, and to “make men doubt Divine Revelation with as little discrimination as they were formerly called upon to believe.” If the reader will carefully follow and weigh the evidence in the following chapters, he cannot fail to be delivered from the thraldom of popular credulity and led to seek the truth for himself.

Book Immaterial Existence

Download or read book Immaterial Existence written by Sam Oputa and published by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-07-20 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is reality? What is existence? Does existence cease to exist? Reality is hard to pin down to one definition. Existence is being. Existence is being aware. Existence does not cease to exist. And it all depends on reality—your reality. The very word—existence—should describe the only real thing that exists in the universe and beyond—Consciousness. Consciousness alone and nothing else. Everything is conscious, even if you do not see it. The earth rotates. Movement indicates that the earth is doing exactly what was intended for it to do. What makes it rotate? The sun shines brightly always. The moon shines brightly too in the night. It is like clockwork. It just happens. It is programmed to happen like that. It is consciousness at work. Some call it nature—the forces of nature—they would chime in. But nature is following a script—a prewritten software. Nature cannot change this script. Nothing can change this script of a software for our earth, planetary system and indeed the universe because the program is set from the beginning. If you can understand that, well, you are welcome to a world created for the enjoyment of Consciousness. If you think about it, the universe seems to have been synchronized by an intelligence science is yet able to put a finger on. Perhaps, Thomas H. Huxley—a biologist and humanist—said it best below:“It seems to me that there is a third thing in the universe, to wit, consciousness, which . . . I cannot see to be matter or force, or any conceivable modification of either . . .”
