For verification of these methods, radii of ammonium-chloride particles were determined, and a comparison of these results with other measurements gave good agreement. By using these measurements the size and concentration of condensation particles in supercooled hypersonic air flow were measured. A table of angular-light intensity-distribution functions is given for use in measuring small particles having an index of refraction of 1.20, the index of refraction of oxygen and nitrogen.
