Book Office Sissy Collection 1

Download or read book Office Sissy Collection 1 written by Paul Zante and published by Paul Zante. This book was released on with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The three Office Sissy stories together! Contains The Form, Personal Assistant, and Appraisal. The Form: I knew life would be difficult with my wife’s sister as my boss. But did she really have to inform my boss I was wearing satin lingerie as punishment for looking at a girl in short skirt? I just wished the day would end, but I got the feeling that something wasn’t quite right when my boss took me through the strangest Human Resources form in the world when she saw I’d stained my pink satin panties. Personal Assistant: The sequel to Office Sissy: The Form. With humiliating photos and video of me crossdressing and imagining I’m having sex with a male work colleague in the hands of my wife and her sister (my boss at work), I’m not sure my life can get any worse. But things don’t look like they’ll get any better now my boss has told me she’s taking me as her Personal Assistant on a sales trip because I’ll be far cheaper than having to hire a hooker. Appraisal: I knew something was up when my boss, Mandy, called me in to the office on Sunday. Even though I didn’t think I was there to ‘service’ one of her clients she still dressed me as a slutty PA. Then things got even stranger when two other girls and a couple of male bosses arrived. But just what did she mean when she said we were there for an ‘Appraisal’?

Book A Dictionary of Epithets and Terms of Address

Download or read book A Dictionary of Epithets and Terms of Address written by Leslie Dunkling and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2008-02-20 with total page 698 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book will give learners of English the confidence to address people appropriately in a wide variety of situations. It will also help them to understand what is implied when an English speaker uses a particular way of addressing someone. These topics are entirely neglected in most courses and textbooks, and there is no other reference work on the subject. Anyone who is fascinated by words will also find much here of interest. A wealth of historical, sociological and etymological information is set out in a highly readable style. Some 2,000 entries arranged in alphabetical order shed new light on familiar terms of address and present many curiosities. The author gives examples from a wide range of literature, particularly twentieth century novels, and provides an illuminating commentary on them.

Download or read book Sissy Insurgencies written by Marlon B. Ross and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 2021-12-06 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Sissy Insurgencies Marlon B. Ross focuses on the figure of the sissy in order to rethink how Americans have imagined, articulated, and negotiated manhood and boyhood from the 1880s to the present. Rather than collapsing sissiness into homosexuality, Ross shows how sissiness constitutes a historically fluid range of gender practices that are expressed as a physical manifestation, discursive epithet, social identity, and political phenomenon. He reconsiders several black leaders, intellectuals, musicians, and athletes within the context of sissiness, from Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, and James Baldwin to Little Richard, Amiri Baraka, and Wilt Chamberlain. Whether examining Washington’s practice of cleaning as an iteration of sissiness, Baldwin’s self-fashioned sissy deportment, or sissiphobia in professional sports and black nationalism, Ross demonstrates that sissiness can be embraced and exploited to conform to American gender norms or disrupt racialized patriarchy. In this way, sissiness constitutes a central element in modern understandings of race and gender.

Book The Sharecropper s Daughter

Download or read book The Sharecropper s Daughter written by Julie Miliner and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2010-11-20 with total page 317 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Sharecropper's Daughter tells the story of Frank Lee, a girl born to a black mother and a white father in 1930s South Carolina. Frank Lee grows up between the precarious backdrop of being black but looking white amid racist and ambiguous times. She is forced to find a balance between a mother who finds it difficult to embrace her and a father she will never know. Abandoned at birth she is shuffled from one place to another, sometimes with relatives but sometimes with strangers who value the weekly stipend they receive for her care more than the girl herself. She is eventually reunited with her mother but the relationship is strained and uncertain. This is an epic tale that spans the time of slavery through the 1950s. The characters are rich and fluent in the language of survival and perseverance. There is love, loss, pain and forgiveness that every reader will identify with.

Book Type

    Book Details:
  • Author : Simon Loxley
  • Publisher : Bloomsbury Publishing
  • Release : 2006-03-31
  • ISBN : 0857730177
  • Pages : 360 pages

Download or read book Type written by Simon Loxley and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2006-03-31 with total page 360 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Type is the bridge between writer and reader, between thought and understanding. Type is the message bearer: an art-form that impinges upon every literate being and yet for most of its history it has conformed to the old adage that 'good typography should be invisible', it should not distract with its own personality. It was only at the end of the nineteenth century that designers slowly realised that they could say as much with their lettering as writers could with their words. Form, of course, carries as much meaning as content. Now, anyone within reach of a computer and its limitless database of fonts has the same power. "Type: The Secret History of Letters" tells its story for the first time, treating typography as a hidden measure of our history. From the tempestuous debate about its beginnings in the fifteenth century, to the invention of our most contemporary lettering, Simon Loxley, with the skill of a novelist, tells of the people and events behind our letters. How did Johann Gutenberg, in late 1438, come to think of printing? Does Baskerville have anything to do with Sherlock Holmes? Why did the Nazis re-invent Blackletter? What is a Zapf? "Type" is a guide through the history of our letters and a study of their power. From fashion through propaganda and the development of mass literacy, Loxley shows how typography has changed our world.

Book The Non Product Consolidation Operation

Download or read book The Non Product Consolidation Operation written by John Ropa and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2000-05-11 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a comical business novel, the Non-Product Consolidation Operation is a department of Generic Equivalent Corporation (Gen EQ), a multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer. Myrtle, Rachel, Naomi, Ralph, and Lawrence, the manager, package and ship to the company’s overseas plants anything other than sellable products. Managed into total inefficiency by Lawrence, who is dedicated to his useless statistics, the crew spends much of its time hunting for lost packages and reading confidential company mail. A clever, acerbic Myrtle reads aloud to Ralph, who translates corporate clichés into plain English. Myrtle then spreads the news of company intrigues to co-workers during coffee breaks. Ralph, once a successful corporate executive, has simply given it up for the simple life. Now, he packs small packages of toothpaste, videos and bowling balls into larger ones for export. Naomi, a bright and ambitious single mother, and Rachel, a timid mousey woman, do the best they can under the circumstances. Myrtle learns of an impending merger and the staff is nervous about who will be labeled “redundant.” A running account of Lawrence’s shipment of juicy fruit flavored tongue depressors breaks the tension, as the material, intended to go to Israel, bounces from port to port throughout the Middle East, helped along by con man Agent Frederick. Lawrence hides the growing expenses in the Finance Department’s budget, as the shipment arrives at an embargoed country. While Lawrence is out of town, the Vice President of Finance, Ron Jackson, is sent by President Andy Foster to determine the organization’s post-merger fate. Ron discovers the contraband package but fails to notice the savings generated by Naomi in Lawrence’s absence. Consequently, the Non-Product Consolidation Operation is scheduled to be eliminated.
