What a marvelous invention she thought, a curtsying mirror. Of course it was just a normal mirror, but she liked being fanciful and pretending that it was a special mirror, one which obeyed her every command. She curtsied to the mirror once more. Then fully assured of her command over the mirror, she walked away. But the figure in the mirror didn’t move. She couldn’t believe she was not in control of her special mirror, so she just kept walking out the door, even though her reflection did not follow. Besides she was late for dinner, her mother would be expecting her. The Dancer tells her mother. The Shaman, the Dancer’s Grandmother, insists that the Dancer must fix the mirror all by herself. Will anyone defy the Shaman and help the Dancer fix the mirror? How would she even start to fix it?

Book excerpt: An Electric Car is often referred to as an electric vehicle or EV. In Select Your Electric Car, I explore the various options of EVs available in the United States. If you live in California or in one of the other states which have similar zero emission vehicle standards, you will have more choices. These states have laws that car companies selling cars in their state must provide a certain percentage of EVs. I am going to focus on the EVs which are widely available in the US now (2018). I’ll compare them, so that hopefully you will be able to purchase the EV which fits your lifestyle – or the lifestyle which you plan to adopt once you own an EV. I’ll also look at a few other EVs which are not as widely available. In 2019, car dealers will be offering more models of EVs nationally, at least that’s the plan. I’m thinking that you might want a car with more of a track record. So I won’t be saying as much about those models, though I will mention them. The US ranks seventh in number of EVs sold, following China, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Netherlands, and Norway who is at #1. If you wanted to wait until 2019 to drive your EV, and you had $200,000 ($200K) to spare, and you had a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or could hire a driver who did; why not just purchase a Tesla Electric Semi. After all, Elon Musk is now saying it will have a 600-mile range. Even if he’s only 75% correct, that’s still a 450-mile range. I could drive into town (Olympia) every day of the week and up to the big city (Seattle) on the weekend. And I still wouldn’t have to charge my rig. And in Aug 2018, a Tesla Semi made it from Coast to Coast across the US. It did have to be recharged. But the driver was able to find charging stations which were powerful enough to charge it. But where would I park the thing? Besides I don’t have a CDL. And the few people I know who do aren’t interested in being my personal chauffeur. I also definitely don’t have $200K that I can afford to spend on my next vehicle. I won’t talk about the Tesla Semi in this book. You can read about that vehicle in my book – The Xybrid Vehicle. I’ll also mention techniques for driving an EV which will expand their range. At least these techniques work when driving my 2015 Electric Nissan Leaf. Following in his footsteps, Buster was able to save the Universe.Many people think that the only way to get to Wizard School is to either take the Train. But if you can’t afford the train, there is a bus to Wizard School. Yet, Buster Tensyllables didn’t take the bus or the train. He did take a bus, but not the one to Wizard School and not the one to Prep School where his parents thought he was heading. He took a bus for a short distance, then he walked. Along the way, he met Sidney Rather Nottingham who was also walking to Wizard School. Luckily, one of they knew the way. Otherwise they would have been lost.

Some mystical writing is hard to understand. I'd like to think that mine is easy. And some of it is very humorous. Of course, what could be more spiritual than chocolate? These holes have developed because Dancer and her friends opened them by using their magic. Of course, their magic alone wasn’t enough to open these holes. Their magic had acted on their desires, their desires for things to be different. Once the holes were opened, Dancer and her friends continued to use them, which made the holes larger. But now people are falling through who have no magic to fall back through the other way. People are falling through unintentionally. And somehow that had to stop. This story is told from Jamil, the Artist’s, perspective. So, I thought it appropriate to include a short story about another artist at the end. It’s titled, The Artist. Creative, I know. This artist has always wanted to be an artist, but has to give up his dream because he can’t make enough money at it and because it’s not an accepted profession. Eventually, he does become an artist. However, there’s one thing he cannot paint – a sunset. And he won’t be able to paint a sunset until he understands the beauty behind a sunset.
