Download or read book O Professor e a pesquisa written by Menga Lüdke and published by Papirus Editora. This book was released on 2016-12-07 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. - Papirus Editora

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While the anthropological field initially shied away from the debate on multiculturalism, it has been widely discussed within the fields of political theory, social policy, cultural studies and law.

Download or read book Educa o e tecnologias an lises do ensino aprendizagem com as m dias digitais na COVID 19 written by Raimundo Gomes Luz and published by Editora UNIFAP. This book was released on 2024-09-05 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Students Assumption Prejudice and Discrimination in an English Language Class

Download or read book Students Assumption Prejudice and Discrimination in an English Language Class written by Alex Alves Egido and published by Appris Editora e Livraria Eireli - ME. This book was released on 2018-09-11 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book "Students' presupposition, prejudice, and discrimination in an English class", as the name says, analyses assumptions of students when they discussed about professions in the context of an English language clasroom. Inserted on the field of Critical Applied Linguistics (CAL), Egido's research is composed by an extended literature review, where he carefully approached a detailed panorama of CAL nowadays, giving us a better understanding on where his investigation sits and which gaps it fills. Besides that, he discussed the themes mentioned in the title, which are derived from a Paradigmatic and Syntagmatic analysis – both a method and a methodology for qualitative research – that shows total connection between the theory presented and the data analyzed making the book even more interesting. Other aspects of this investigation are worth to be cited, for instance, the ethical procedures used with the participants and the deep analysis brought by author, demonstrating the importance of researching gender, ethnic and prejudice in the educational sphere. I believe this work will be a great support for professors, students and researchers concerned with issues related to teacher training processes, as we can clearly see how the teacher dealt with students' responses. Also, it is a valuable source for the ones interested in studies about cognition, especially those inserted in CAL. Book International Perspectives on Mathematics Teacher Education

Download or read book International Perspectives on Mathematics Teacher Education written by Denisse R Thompson and published by IAP. This book was released on 2021-09-01 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mathematics teacher education includes the mathematics content teachers need to understand, ways that pedagogical approaches are developed, messages about the nature of mathematics teaching and learning, and interfaces between tertiary preparation and school contexts. Scholars from Sweden, France, Malawi, Singapore, New Zealand, Brazil, the USA, and Canada provide insights for the mathematics education community’s understanding of how teacher educators structure, develop, and implement their respective mathematics teacher education programs. Several themes emerged across the chapters, including: varied approaches to developing culturally responsive pedagogies and/or Indigenous perspectives; issues and challenges in fostering partnerships and collaborations; strategies for developing mathematics knowledge for teaching; and preparing flexible and resourceful teachers. Praise for International Perspectives on Mathematics Teacher Education: "International Perspectives on Mathematics Teacher Education explores different facets of mathematics teacher education in eight countries across five continents. The authors and editors answer important questions and open the door to critical conversations about policies and practices related to mathematics teacher recruitment, preparation, and professional development, among other topics. Every reader will develop new perspectives as they learn how one institution is engaging with Indigenous perspectives while other countries struggle with an insufficient supply of certified teachers. This book clearly demonstrates challenges, constraints, nuances and complexities to initiating and maintaining improvement across systems to enhance the work and spaces of mathematics teachers within different historical, cultural, social, and political contexts. This volume also generates ideas and opportunities for leaders, policymakers, and teacher educators to consider and learn from international colleagues about different approaches to mathematics teacher education practice and policy. Undoubtedly, debates about standards, content and experiences in programs, and accountability structures such as accreditation will continue. It is clear from the insights in this volume that strengthening mathematics teacher education will require stronger collaborations, frameworks, policies, infrastructure, and investments on a global scale and it will be critical to collaborate with and learn from colleagues in international settings. These conversations will require reciprocity, interdependence, and resilience as we pursue the ultimate goal of equipping the field of mathematics teacher education." This book was released on 2015-08-05 with total page 347 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Ethnomathematics in Action

Download or read book Ethnomathematics in Action written by Milton Rosa and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-08-10 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a collection of ethnomathematical studies of diverse mathematical practices in Afro-Brazilian, indigenous, rural and urban communities in Brazil. Ethnomathematics as a research program aims to investigate the interrelationships of local mathematical knowledge sources with broader universal forms of mathematics to understand ideas, procedures, and practices found in distinct cultural groups. Based on this approach, the studies brought together in this volume show how this research program is applied and practiced in a culturally diverse country such as Brazil, where African, indigenous and European cultures have generated different forms of mathematical practice. These studies present ethnomathematics in action, as a tool to connect the study of mathematics with the students’ real life experiences, foster critical thinking and develop a mathematics curriculum which incorporates contributions from different cultural groups to enrich mathematical knowledge. By doing so, this volume shows how ethnomathematics can contribute in practice to the development of a decolonial mathematics education. Ethnomathematics in Action: Mathematical Practices in Brazilian Indigenous, Urban and Afro Communities will be of interest to educators and educational researchers looking for innovative approaches to develop a more inclusive, democratic, critical, multicultural and multiethnic mathematics education.

Book Subjectivity within Cultural Historical Approach

Download or read book Subjectivity within Cultural Historical Approach written by Fernando González Rey and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-12-11 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a theoretical and epistemological-methodological framework as an alternative approach to the instrumental-descriptive methodology that has prevailed in psychology to date. It discusses the differences between the proposed approach and other theoretical and methodological positions, such as discourse analysis, phenomenology and hermeneutics. Further, it puts forward a proposal that allows the demands of studying subjectivity to be addressed from a cultural-historical standpoint. The book mainly highlights case studies that have been conducted in various countries, and which employ or depart from the theoretical, epistemological and methodological proposals that guide this book. The research discussed here introduces readers to new discussions on theoretical and methodological issues in subjectivity that have increasingly attracted interest.
