The volume, based on revised papers presented in the XVIth Conference of the Association of Asian Social Science Research Councils (AASSREC) in Delhi, explores the issues of growth and employment in detail in the context of selected Asian economies. The nine country papers included in the volume provide useful insights to the issues relating to labour markets and challenges of unemployment in these countries.
