Book Encounters with the nagual

Download or read book Encounters with the nagual written by Armando Torres and published by Editora Alba. This book was released on 2004-11-26 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Every human being is by right a warrior who has achieved his place in the world in a battle of life and death. Look at it this way, at least once, as sperm, we all fight the bullfight for life - a unique contest against millions of other competitors - and we win! Now the battle continues... "A warrior knows that there is no guarantee of triumph over death. Even so, he fights his battle, not because he believes he will win, but because of the emotion of the war itself. For him, to give his war is already a victory. And while he fights he rejoices, because, for those who have already died, every second of life is a gift." "I love my children because they are deposits of my energy, my wife because she washes my clothes, she cooks and I catch her, my dog because he takes care of the house, my country because I was born here, my god because he's going to save me...". "The sorcerers have discovered the most refined form of love, because they love themselves. They have put the power of passion at the service of being, and it gives them the impetus to undertake the only quest that counts: that of oneself.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: AMAZING READ! The dances, the songs, the Ball Game and the Xochiyaoyotl or Florida War, were vehicles to achieve extraordinary vibrational levels to transmute themselves, transform reality or their perception and go beyond the ordinary senses. When Europeans were privileged to witness these zoomorphic transmutation acts of Power, they were terrified by the obviousness of their prejudices, their dogmas of faith, or their belief systems. They never understood the visionary significance of Toltec thought. There are innumerable historical chronicles such as the one narrated by the soldier Francisco de Fuentes y Guzmán, a member of Pedro de Alvarado's Hispanic army, about the battle of 1524 against the powerful Nagual Tecun Uman, a great eagle warrior, and great necromancer who took the form of his nagual, He flew over his squadrons, commanding with the scepter rich in emeralds that he carried, what his generals, ahaus and captains of his army had to execute, who also took the form of snakes, tigers and lions. This mighty Nagual with fascinating agility was said to soar through the air to fiercely attack the invading army, severing the horses with a single slash with his weapon. But like every good warrior, he said goodbye to this wonderful underworld on the battlefield There are also testimonies from both chroniclers and oral traditions about the historical role of the Mayan warrior leader Jacinto Kaanek, whose meaning is black serpent. One of the main testimonies is referred by Nicholas Cahuich, who describes Kaanek as a bearer of magical powers and recounts in detail the extraordinary anecdotes when he publicly declared himself a defender of freedom. Of course, these testimonies are inspired by the obtuse vision of a mind limited by beliefs. But historical facts give us a clear idea of the guilt complex that existed in the colonizers when they oppressed and enslaved the original peoples. Motivated by extreme terror, Kaanek was dismembered and reduced to ashes, as well as his main associates were hanged. The people who supported him during his resistance movement that began in 1761 in Cisteil, a Mayan town in the south of what is now Yucatan Mexico, was burned in its entirety and tons of salt was poured into it, I suppose to counteract the nobility warrior with colonial hoax gadgets.

The author journeys from a mountaintop peyote pilgrimage of the Huichol people of western Mexico to the home of Tibetan monks in Mexico City and the hut of a Mazatec mushroom shaman in a remote Oaxacan village. She learns the Twilight Language of Dreaming, an avenue for understanding the energetic gateways of human existence. Don Juan Matus defines the language of this dream power and doña Celestina tutors on sex, reproduction, and male-female affairs in relation to the state of the world. Twilight Language enables communication between beings of the upper and lower realms. The author describes how it is possible for our individual and collective consciousness to be transported to higher levels. At the conclusion of each of her narratives she offers detailed exercises for experiences in extra-lucid dreaming as well as case studies showing how to apply dreaming techniques in the “real” world. Twilight Language of the Nagual is both a serious navigational aid to other realms revealed through dreams and an exploration of the energy techniques of dream power for healing and enlightenment.

Book Dark Pool of Light Volume Two

Download or read book Dark Pool of Light Volume Two written by Richard Grossinger and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2012-08-28 with total page 473 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In books like Embyogenesis and Embryos, Galaxies, and Sentient Beings, author Richard Grossinger brought together the subjects of biological embryology and the esoteric process of human consciousness becoming embodied ("The embryo is the universe writing itself on its own body"). In Dark Pool of Light, his three-volume series of books discussing the nature of reality and consciousness, Grossinger weaves neuroscience-based behaviorism and the phenomenology of "being" and reality together with psychological and psychospiritual views of "that single thing which is most difficult to understand or vindicate: our own existence." In Volume 1, Grossinger begins with the scientific and philosophical, analytical views of reality; the subtitle of that volume is The Neuroscience, Evolution, and Ontology of Consciousness. In Volume 2, Consciousness in Psychospiritual and Psychic Ranges, he examines psychic sensitivity and planes of existence from diverse experiential perspectives, including theosophy and Buddhism. In 2008, Grossinger began studying with noted psychic teacher John Friedlander, who helped him refine his vision of cerebral and somatic awareness to still-subtler levels. "Dark Pool of Light began unnamed in the journals of my psychic work with John Friedlander," says Grossinger, "not so much a record of actual practices as insights from them and extensions out of them." An expansive inquiry into the nature of consciousness, this volume includes these "field notes" and observations from Grossinger's studies in the imaginal psychic realm, as well as exercises to invite the reader to experience these dimensions for themselves.

Book Wising Up the Marks

Download or read book Wising Up the Marks written by Timothy S. Murphy and published by Univ of California Press. This book was released on 1998-01-05 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: William S. Burroughs is one of the twentieth century's most visible, controversial, and baffling literary figures. In the first comprehensive study of the writer, Timothy S. Murphy places Burroughs in the company of the most significant intellectual minds of our time. In doing so, he gives us an immensely readable and convincing account of a man whose achievements continue to have a major influence on American art and culture. Murphy draws on the work of such philosophers as Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, Theodor Adorno, and Jean-Paul Sartre, and also investigates the historical contexts from which Burroughs's writings arose. From the paranoid isolationism of the Cold War through the countercultural activism of the sixties to the resurgence of corporate and state control in the eighties, Burroughs's novels, films, and music hold a mirror to the American psyche. Murphy coins the term "amodernism" as a way to describe Burroughs's contested relationship to the canon while acknowledging the writer's explicit desire for a destruction of such systems of classification. Despite the popular mythology that surrounds Burroughs, his work has been largely excluded from the academy of American letters. Finally here is a book that presents a solid portrait of a major artistic innovator, a writer who combines aesthetics and politics and who can perform as anthropologist, social goad, or media icon, all with consummate skill.

Book Dance of the Ancient One

Download or read book Dance of the Ancient One written by Arnold Mindell and published by Deep Democracy Exchange. This book was released on 2013-02 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Just as the earth is moved by the universe, you, me, every human, every life form, and every thing is moved by the universe as well. This movement feeling, the sense of the universe s gravity field or what Einstein called space time, is not just felt by astronauts. All of us feel moved by gravity all the time. When you let gravity move you, when you are moved by space time, you are moved by the universe. When you are moved in this way, you are showing the dance of the ancient one, and are in contact with the space between us, with the subtle experience of being moved by what I shall explain is a system mind possibly the most powerful system mind available to us. Arnold Mindell, The Dance of the Ancient One, Spring 2013 In his latest book, Mindell expands on his earlier concept of the processmind as he develops the notion of space time dreaming or dance of the ancient one in his rigorous efforts toward the elucidation of a ToE (or theory of everything). Space time dreaming weaves together essential spiritual concepts from the Eastern mystical tradition of the Tao and Wu Wei of Chinese philosophy, along with modern Western field and space theories in quantum physics such as gravity, space time, unified field theories, indeterminacy and entanglement. He draws upon personal field ideas (i.e., the unconscious), interpersonal social field and role theory from psychology and sociology, then adds concepts of intersubjectivity and entanglement from transpersonal and integral psychology. On a group level, he incorporates interdependence from organizational system mind models and places it all in the context of ecology, of Gaia, and then the larger universe. One World concepts, such as the Unus Mundus from mystical and alchemical traditions that work at a more essential or non-dual level to unite seeming opposites, facilitate the coming together of all of these varied perspectives in his framing of the space time dreaming concept, experientially accessible as The Dance of the Ancient One. Each chapter contains either an exercise to do in pairs or a small group, or an inner work exercise, so that you can facilitate yourself and experience the space time dreaming states directly. Transcripts of discussions with his students are distributed throughout the book, and engagingly contribute to a diverse and resonant learning experience.

Book excerpt: Veterinarian Dr. Michael Fox examines religion's attitude, especially Christianity, toward the treatment of animals and nature.
