Simon Peter called Him the Messiah [Matthew 16:15]. During His earthly ministry, the Lord Jesus asked His disciples: But what about you? He asked. Who do you say I am? [Matthew 16:15]. The disciples gave various answers which were not correct with the exception of Simon Peter who answered, the Messiah as we read in Scriptures, the inspired Word of God: Simon Peter answered, You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God [Matthew 16:15].
