Book MUHAMMED MESSENGER OF PEACE AND TOLERANCE

Download or read book MUHAMMED MESSENGER OF PEACE AND TOLERANCE written by Yasin T. al-Jibouri and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2014-01-30 with total page 577 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is not an ordinary book by any standard, and simply going through its table of contents will tell you why. The author takes you on a journey to the 6th Century A.D. where events and incidents of this book started, meticulously detailing life in the Arabian Peninsula during the period of time that preceded the birth of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammed. Then he details the struggle of the Prophet and his followers to survive in the most hostile environment and among the most ruthless people. After that, he gives you an idea about unfortunate events that followed Muhammed’s demise and how those who were the closest people to him during his lifetime betrayed him and his message thereafter, confiscating the estate of his only daughter, Fatima. A chapter about his wives is included as well in addition to one about the Holy Qur’an and why it is called a miracle. Many sayings of the Prophet of Islam on various subject-matters have been included, too, giving you an idea about how Muhammed thought and what he preached. A Glossary is finally added for the benefit of those who study or teach the Islamic faith either academically or out of curiosity. Perhaps the most interesting contents of this book are two very important pacts which Muhammed signed, one with the Jews of Medina, and another with the Christians of Najran, Yemen. These pacts shed light on the Prophet’s tolerance and genuine desire for a peaceful coexistence between the Muslims on the one hand and followers of the Jewish and Christian faiths on the other.

Book Muhammad

Download or read book Muhammad written by Juan Cole and published by Bold Type Books. This book was released on 2018-10-09 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the midst of the dramatic seventh-century war between two empires, Muhammad was a spiritual seeker in search of community and sanctuary. Many observers stereotype Islam and its scripture as inherently extreme or violent-a narrative that has overshadowed the truth of its roots. In this masterfully told account, preeminent Middle East expert Juan Cole takes us back to Islam's-and the Prophet Muhammad's-origin story. Cole shows how Muhammad came of age in an era of unparalleled violence. The eastern Roman Empire and the Sasanian Empire of Iran fought savagely throughout the Near East and Asia Minor. Muhammad's profound distress at the carnage of his times led him to envision an alternative movement, one firmly grounded in peace. The religion Muhammad founded, Islam, spread widely during his lifetime, relying on soft power instead of military might, and sought armistices even when militarily attacked. Cole sheds light on this forgotten history, reminding us that in the Qur'an, the legacy of that spiritual message endures. A vibrant history that brings to life the fascinating and complex world of the Prophet, Muhammad is the story of how peace is the rule and not the exception for one of the world's most practiced religions.

Book Islam Peace and Tolerance

Download or read book Islam Peace and Tolerance written by Zahid Aziz and published by A.A.I.I.L. (U.K.). This book was released on 2017-01-03 with total page 108 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This booklet was compiled to refute the misconceived notions that Islam is a violent, brutal and intolerant religion which calls upon its followers to wage war, called jihad, against all non-Muslims, that Islam prohibits freedom of religion, and propagates its message by force, and that it does not tolerate any criticism of its teachings and urges Muslims to kill anyone who speaks against it. This book shows that: · Islam teaches Muslims to live in peace with all others in the world, tolerating religious differences. · It recognises for everyone the freedom to believe in and practise whatever religion they wish. · It requires Muslims to show self-restraint and patience in the face of verbal abuse of their religion. · It deplores any kind of violent attack on the general public of any country, innocently going about their daily business.

Book Muhammad the Messenger of God

Download or read book Muhammad the Messenger of God written by Fethullah Gülen and published by The Fountain. This book was released on 2009 with total page 472 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The message the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, brought in the seventh century did not only change a small community in the Arabian Peninsula. Over one-fifth of the world population today testifies to him as the final Messenger of God. His voice is still heard in the modern age as powerfully and influentially as it was fourteen centuries ago when he emerged as one single man to convey the will of God to humanity. In this book, Gülen delves deep into the reasons as to how a single man -- with no means of power -- was able to leave such indelible marks on millions of minds and souls. Rather than listing events in a chronological biography, Gülen follows an analytical framework of the Prophet's mission and character, providing numerous accounts from his lifetime. Gülen presents the Prophet in the different roles he assumed within his community as a father, husband, statesman, chief of staff, and an individual with utmost compassion, wisdom, grace, humility, and trustworthiness. One of the most celebrated teachers of Islam in Turkey, Gülen is outstanding with his double-winged intellectual background that is embedded in traditional Islamic scholarship on the one hand and his progressive vision on the other. "Muhammad: The Messenger of God" is regarded as Gülen's masterpiece and has been published in 12 languages.

It is high time for us that we present a correct conception of the Prophet of Islam amidst the hustle and bustle taking place between the East and the West nowadays particularly after the break out of the bloody uprising in the middle East against dictatorships and oppressive regimes. So, was Islam really a message of horror and terror? Did Prophet Muhammad really make people embrace Islam by sword and war? This biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) offers the readers a different answer; however, before going into more details I should mention that this biography was written 25years ago. It only included a historical narration of the events in the Prophet’s life in an easy language that brought together the main narrations of main historians without any personal interference concerning examining those narrations of criticizing them.

Book The Place of Tolerance in Islam

Download or read book The Place of Tolerance in Islam written by Khaled Abou El Fadl and published by Beacon Press. This book was released on 2002-11-08 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Khaled Abou El Fadl, a prominent critic of Islamic puritanism, leads off this lively debate by arguing that Islam is a deeply tolerant religion. Injunctions to violence against nonbelievers stem from misreadings of the Qur'an, he claims, and even jihad, or so-called holy war, has no basis in Qur'anic text or Muslim theology but instead grew out of social and political conflict. Many of Abou El Fadl's respondents think differently. Some contend that his brand of Islam will only appeal to Westerners and students in "liberal divinity schools" and that serious religious dialogue in the Muslim world requires dramatic political reforms. Other respondents argue that theological debates are irrelevant and that our focus should be on Western sabotage of such reforms. Still others argue that calls for Islamic "tolerance" betray the Qur'anic injunction for Muslims to struggle against their oppressors. The debate underscores an enduring challenge posed by religious morality in a pluralistic age: how can we preserve deep religious conviction while participating in what Abou El Fadl calls "a collective enterprise of goodness" that cuts across confessional differences? With contributions from Tariq Ali, Milton Viorst, and John Esposito, and others.

This book was released on 2019-03-01 with total page 97 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The western world is seeing a rise in intolerance, hate, and violence. The media exacerbates this by painting inaccurate pictures of immigrants, minorities, and of Islam and Muslims in particular. Consequently, there is a pressing need for clarifying what Islam is and is not, so as to foster mutual brotherhood amongst people of all beliefs. In four speeches delivered during a tour of the United States and Guatemala, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, offers a formula for achieving peace in our communities, nations, and indeed throughout the world. His Holiness explains that the true purpose of mosques is to be a center of peace where Muslims join together in order to worship God Almighty and to serve humanity, irrespective of belief or background. Furthermore, the building of hospitals enables the service of mankind which itself becomes a form of worship. This cumulative spirit is the way to protect our future and enable us to leave behind a better world for our children.

Book The Messenger

Download or read book The Messenger written by Resit Haylamaz and published by . This book was released on 2018 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book narrates the life of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, shedding light upon segments of his life that are either neglected or glossed over in conflict-focused biographies. The narrations in this book revolve around the Prophet's various strategies of diplomacy and reconciliation to avoid conflicts. In narrating these events, the book helps the readers broaden their perspective on the life of the Messenger of God and better capture the ethos of his life. Indeed, both Muslims and non-Muslims may benefit from this understanding at a time when violent extremist groups such as ISIS are causing carnage with their brutality while dressing their totalitarian ideologies in Muslim garb. The book exposes the hypocritical and willful deception of these radical groups which cherry-pick incidents and sayings from the Prophet's life, decontextualize them, and abuse them to serve their perverted ideologies. The extensive evidence presented in this book will not only dispel many myths about the life and message of the Noble Prophet, but also show how through compassionate efforts he conquered the hearts of people around him and turned them from die-hard enemies to devoted faithful friends.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: n this book, I have a clear goal to demonstrate the ethics and manners of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who is our leader and teacher. A true Muslim would follow the virtues and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Muhammad enjoined Muslims to treat the Egyptian Coptic Christians well: ..".Take good care of the Copts in that country (Egypt)" But if there is someone who is assaulting them, would he be a Muslim? Did he follow the commandment of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah? Muhammad delivered the message and made a commandment. However, some people who just called themselves as Muslims, yet they do not have the slightest relation to Islam. For every Muslim is not a terrorist. One of the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) was Maria Al-Qibtiyya who was an Egyptian Coptic Christian, and she gave birth to him his son Ibrahim. So, how can he be anti-Coptic while being married to a Coptic woman? The Prophet took pity on her living with him in the rough desert. So, he sent her to Egypt out of his mercy and kind heart. Where she would be pleased and cheered up in the place where lived and was brought up in. For those who are carrying out attacks on the West and Christians, then claiming that they are Muslims, those actions have nothing to do with Islam. It was crystal clear in the aforementioned verse. Those people divided their religion, broke up into sects and groups, and went far away from Islam. They proclaimed themselves to be as God who is the one to judge between his creations. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and his Companions were steadfastly facing the enemy, and they killed no one in such a perfidious way. I challenge everyone to find something mentioned in History about such incident. So, what about those treacheries we are seeing and hearing about nowadays! Are these the Prophet's morality and teachings? That is what we are right now. Some children are terrorists, but we are not all terrorists. Why would anyone assail the Prophet Muhammad for that? He disciplined us well and his morality was derived from the Quran that was revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Satan overpowered and convinced some of them of things that are entirely irrelevant to Islam; (they divided their religion, broke up into sects).
