L’auteur de ce livre écarte d’un revers de main toute idée de plagiat que l’antériorité des livres de la Bible ne saurait justifier. Cette accusation cache mal une mauvaise compréhension de la nécessaire communauté scripturaire qui doit exister entre tous les Livres révélés par Dieu. On peut en dire autant de ce qui lie Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, le sceau des prophètes, à ses prédécesseurs. C’est ainsi qu’il n’est pas possible d’avoir une compréhension claire, cohérente et satisfaisante de l’histoire de l’Alliance ou du Pacte divin sans tenir compte de ce que le Coran en dit. L’auteur finit par soutenir que l’islam, bâti sur la foi au vrai et unique Dieu et l’obéissance à Ses commandements, constitue les termes de référence de l’Alliance et du Salut. Dans ce cadre, le Coran procède à une sorte de restauration de la « part » d’Ismaël que la Bible hébraïque et la Bible chrétienne ont mise à la marge de l’Alliance abrahamique. Cette « part » d’Ismaël est incarnée par la personne que Jésus, le fils de Marie, a appelé « Ahmad » (le plus loué) et dont il a annoncé la venue aux fils d’Israël, les premiers qui devaient en être informés.
