Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As its title suggests this is not just a list of names and dates but a serious research into the people behind the names on the various WW2 memorials in Bridlington including all the old boys of Bridlington School who died in WW2. The book begins with a detailed look at where the memorials are, when they were made and the names that appear on them. This is followed by the roll of honour itself, an alphabetical listing which gives a full page to each person named on the memorials. The Authors have used 'typical' family history resources in order to give as much biographical detail as possible, who they were, their parents, husbands / wives and children, where and how they died and what they did before enlistment. Some died in well-known land battles, some went down with their ships, while others were in aircraft that failed to return home. Not all were in the armed forces and these met their deaths through bombing raids and accidents of war. This is their story.

The good news is that this is not the end of our story. The author's life was and is a roller coaster of both good and bad instances. This is a story of her journey from hopelessness to the discovery of hope in God, who loves us more than anyone here on earth could love us. How she found a "peace that surpasses all understanding," to quote the Bible. Imagine someone who looks at your heart, who sees all that you could be instead of all that you are or all that you are not. Someone that will forgive all you have done once and for all, never to bring it up again. Never to punish you just one more time. Is guilt a part of your life? How about a sense of your life spinning out of control? A hurt that has cut you so deep that you thought you couldn't survive. You do not need to continue in this downward spiral. There is a well of life-giving water there for you. The author will take you on her journey of discovering who she is and whom she belongs to. What she learned about herself and what she chose to do to turn her life around. You, too, can move your hurts and scars to a place of healing and restoration. You, too, can stand tall and move out of the shadows that hold you back from living the way you were made to be. Move into the light, and choose life and joy. It's there, waiting for you.

Download or read book Gods and Humans in the Ancient Near East written by Tyson L. Putthoff and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2020-11-05 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, Tyson Putthoff explores the relationship between gods and humans, and between divine nature and human nature, in the Ancient Near East. In this world, gods lived among humans. The two groups shared the world with one another, each playing a special role in maintaining order in the cosmos. Humans also shared aspects of a godlike nature. Even in their natural condition, humans enjoyed a taste of the divine state. Indeed, gods not only lived among humans, but also they lived inside them, taking up residence in the physical body. As such, human nature was actually a composite of humanity and divinity. Putthoff offers new insights into the ancients' understanding of humanity's relationship with the gods, providing a comparative study of this phenomenon from the third millennium BCE to the first century CE.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Yahweh for Christians: I Am Original Words, Original Truth By: Messianic Rabbi Minister Yahonathan Daweed Yahweh for Christians is a work unlike any other on your book shelf. No other work of this weight and of this topic gives us a historical examination across the history of man as this work does. Yahweh for Christians states that there is an epic struggle between the Sacred Name, and an intelligent opponent, that goes beyond our appreciation. This attack is not benign, but is violent, and affects all life as we know it. This battle defines our conscious and unconscious lives, so that we do not know that true life is altered beyond recognition. As such, this is plenarily deleterious to our existence. Yahweh for Christians will present actual history, revealing the collateral lies of wrote history. It will connect the dots to creation, Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Japheth, Shem, Ham, Egypt, Greco-Rome, Germany, the dark ages, the crusades, Great Britain, slavery, the world wars, our present time, and our soon coming end. All of which is a complex, systematic, intelligent designed orchestration of spiritual warfare of a great lie versus a great truth. If this struggle is so ranging and daunting as stated above, then this work is one of grave importance. The simplicity of word study is the chief tool utilized by this work, to access the etiology of knowledge. Original words will deposit the student to original truth. םלש
