Book excerpt: Delphi Rubidoux was out of the country when her Coven was brought before the High Council of Witches in New Orleans for using the banned Loup Garrou curse and disavowed. When she got back she found her world in ruins. Her island home had been looted by the locals and she'd been warned that her powers would be forfeit if the Council found her. She laid low and hid out on the island. Then one day Branson Grace, a local fisherman, decided to ignore the warnings about the island and venture out there. He finds Delphi there and saves her from loneliness and fear. Unfortunately, Delphi hasn't been alone. The spirit of Clovis Rubidoux has been watching her. He's been patiently awaiting the return of his beloved wife Collette and he's decided Collette's spirit is hiding in Delphi's body. With Branson's arrival and Delphi's reaction to him, Clovis decides it's time to possess her and reunite with his Collette. He believes that if he saps Delphi of her strength and her life it will free Collette's spirit to once again be with him. Delphi must fight the possessive wraith and men sent by the High Council to keep her power and her home. Branson grows close to her though he's been told all his life that the witches out on the island are evil. He doesn't see evil. He just sees a lonely misunderstood young woman who has been struggling to survive without modern conveniences for over a year. He wants to help, but doesn't expect to fall in love. This paranormal romance is a continuation of the Tales of the Black Bayou Witches and The Legend of the Swamp Witch.

She is now haunting an upscale gated apartment complex near to the mythical town of Blackwater, the 'sleepy little Okeechobee town' mentioned in the Jim Stafford song, Swamp Witch. In this book, we again meet Black Water Hattie, only this time, back when she actually lived in the era of the Civil War. It is during Reconstruction that we find her living as a widow deep in the swamps of Florida in the tale, Swamp Witch. This is the actual story to which we alluded in the first anthology. Book The Legend of the Swamp Witch

Download or read book The Legend of the Swamp Witch written by Lori Beasley Bradley and published by . This book was released on 2014-07-01 with total page 364 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Raquel Clairvoux is forced to take a hard look at the origins of her family and her distant aunt the Legendary Swamp Witch Angelique Clairvoux, a mulatto girl born in the swamps of southern Louisiana and raised by her grandmother in the ways of Voodoo that she learned on the island of Martinique. She sees the history of the region and culture of the original Creole people of Louisiana. When slave catchers came into St Martinsville to collect undocumented people of color Angelique was attacked and mortally wounded flees into the swamp with her life savings she calls on the Spirits to guard her and her savings. Raquel learns about the men who over the next century and a half try to find Angelique's treasure and how they trigger the curse that finally brings them down. Raquel is taken through the history and evolution of a unique culture and historic area of the country and must decide where she and her family fit into it. While this is a story of pure fiction the author did exhaustive research of the area covering the years between 1712 and the present. The town of St Martinsville is an actual town in St Martin Parish, Louisiana and the Bayou Tesche is located there. St Martinsville was a town open to free people of color during the time of slavery and is considered to be the Creole capital of the United States. This book is a work of fiction that mixes historic fact and culture to transport the reader through decades of drama in an evolving southern Louisiana.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Winchester witches have a knack for finding trouble. It doesn't always come in the form of mysteries, though. Enjoy Hemlock Cove's favorite band of merry witches as they embark on a trio of fabulous fantasies that take them to several different worlds that stretch the limits of their imaginations and magical abilities. This multi-book set includes the first three books in the Wicked Witches of the Midwest fantasy series. Witchy Tales: Aunt Tillie is on a rampage, and when Landon threatens to confiscate the wine she intends on selling at an area festival, she curses everyone into a fairy tale book she wrote when her great-nieces were small children. To make it back home, Bay, Clove and Thistle - along with the men they love - have to make their way through a treacherous fantasy land that doesn't follow any standard rules. They're old fairy tales with a modern and witchy twist, and to survive the night the witches have to overcome Aunt Tillie's twisted mind. A Witch in Time: When Aunt Tillie is injured during a freak storm, Landon and Bay sit vigil by her hospital bedside and are drawn into her memories. It's fun and games at first as Landon gets a glimpse at the formation of the family he loves, but things turn dire toward the end when Aunt Tillie wants to stay in the past. The three of them need to work together to return to their time ... but they're going to need a little help from Winchester family members past to make their ultimate escape. Make a Witch: Things are going well in Hemlock Cove and the Thanksgiving holiday is looming large. Before that happens, though, things go wrong (of course). It seems the new wishing well donated to Hemlock Cove by a local shop owner is granting wishes, which makes everyone happy - until those wishes go bad, of course. Between Hollywood stars being locked in basements, flying marijuana fiends and a young teenager trying to make Bay his girlfriend, the witches have their hands full as they force people to reverse wishes and find a way to turn off the magic that empowered the witching well.
