Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Social Media. Magazines. Blogs. TV. As adults, we understand that what we see on our smartphones is a facade. Those photos are retouched, that fashion spread is edited, and reality TV does not necessarily portray reality. Unfortunately, many young females joining the online community don't understand this truth. They begin to base their own self-worth by what appears in their news feeds. Parents worry about what their daughters will experience once they start seeing unrealistic images online, in print, and on TV. The pressure to be perfect, thin, and beautiful may be too much for their young and sensitive souls to bear. Mommy Says I'm Beautiful is an educational children's book that teaches young girls (ages 5+) that the digital world they are about to enter doesn't always depict reality. Children begin absorbing information at a very young age. What they are taught, what they see and what they hear become embedded in their developing minds and affect how they think in their teens and even into adulthood. Teaching them to love themselves and enlightening them to the truth about social media and cyberspace are essential during this pivotal time.

Book The Dementia Diaries of My Beautiful Mom Nellie May Born in April

This book was released on 2013-09-30 with total page 770 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The true happenings of the time in the life of Nellie May born in April. A little joke we shared with Nellie regarding when she was born. Nellie did not have a happy childhood with a dad who beat her, she went through traumatic times when she had to go in the air raid shelter during the war when she was growing up. She went to a comprehensive school and started work at the age of 14. When Nellie was in her fifties, she liked to have a drink. I remember one day a taxi driver came to our house and asked if Nellie was at home I said no, he said I think I have her in my car (and he had). Looking back, we had some very funny times. Nellie was the life and soul of the party. She was feisty, head strong, not afraid to speak her mind, funny, loving, caring and beautiful she would do anything for anyone. She loved to dance and sing and play the organ. Nellie was in her eighties when she developed the terrible disease dementia, of which these diaries are about to tell. There were sad times but also some happy times. Nellie would always pronounce the word baby as babby as that is how she would say it. These diaries tell of what happened during her time with dementia.

Motherhood is a challenge. Unfortunately, our worldly culture offers moms little in the way of real help. Mamas only connect to celebrate surviving another day and to share in their misery rather than rejoice in what God has done and to build each other up in hard times. There has a be a better way, a biblical way, for mamas to grow and thrive. As a daughter of Christ, you have been called to be more than an average mama. Attaining excellence doesn’t have to be unsettling but it will take committed focus and a desire to parent well according to God’s grace and for His glory. M is for Mama offers advice, encouragement, and scripturally sound strategies seasoned with a little bit of humor to help you embrace the challenge of biblical motherhood and raise your children with love and wisdom. Mama, you are worthy of the awesome responsibility God has given you. Now it’s time to start believing you can live up to it.

Book excerpt: “It’s just a move,” her father said. Her mother shrugged. Sarah cried. Fourteen and her dream country club life shattered. It’s not just a move, it’s a move to a farm with fields and animals and miles of dusty roads between farmhouses. She isn’t even part of a town. Neither is her mother. These two lives move in parallel as each negotiates change within the confines of the 1950s Midwest mores. A perfect family: executive father, trophy wife, two daughters until this move rips the scabs off the marriage and fractures the family structure. “Readers will be swept away by FRACTURED, a timeless coming-of-age novel with an unforgettable heroine. Set in the 1950s, the novel evokes a more innocent time, but Sandra Windsor has a few plot twists up her sleeve that show the darkness hiding behind even the most perfect-seeming family. Windsor is a masterful storyteller with remarkable insight into the human condition. This novel is full of heart.”
