Book MODIFIED METHOD FOR SOLVING NON LINEAR PROGRAMMING FOR MULTI CRITERIA DECISION MAKING PROBLEMS UNDER INTERVAL NEUTROSOPHIC SET ENVIRONMENT

Download or read book MODIFIED METHOD FOR SOLVING NON LINEAR PROGRAMMING FOR MULTI CRITERIA DECISION MAKING PROBLEMS UNDER INTERVAL NEUTROSOPHIC SET ENVIRONMENT written by Akanksha Singh and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 12 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Garg and Nancy (Applied Intelligence, 2017, https://doi.org/10.1007/s10489-017-1070-5) proposed a non-linear programming (NLP) method for solving interval neutrosophic multi-criteria decision making (INMCDM) problems (decision making problems in which rating value of each alternative over each criteria is represented by an interval neutrosophic set). In future, other researchers may use the same method in their research work as well as for solving real life INMCDM problems. However, after a deep study, it is observed that Garg and Nancy have used some mathematical incorrect assumptions in their proposed method. Therefore, it is scientifically incorrect to use this method in its present form. Keeping the same in mind, the method, proposed by Garg and Nancy, is modified.

Book Multi criteria decision making method based on the single valued neutrosophic sets

Download or read book Multi criteria decision making method based on the single valued neutrosophic sets written by Minxia Luo and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 15 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this paper, a new tangent similarity between single valued neutrosophic sets is given, which contain tangent similarity [23] as a special case. A best-worst multi-criteria decision making method based on the single valued neutrosophic sets is proposed. To achieve this goal, we design an algorithm to identify the best andworst criteria through computing the outdegrees and in-degrees of the collective single valued neutrosophic preference relation directed network, and then calculate the optimal weight vector of attributes. Moreover, a mathematical model corresponding to the definitions of consistent single valued neutrosophic preference relation is contracted. Finaly, the evaluation values of all alternatives are calculated by the proposed new tangent similarity.

Book A Hybrid BSC DEA Model with Indeterminate Information

Download or read book A Hybrid BSC DEA Model with Indeterminate Information written by Mohammad Jaberi Hafshjani and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Strategy is the main source of long-term growth for organizations, and if it is not successfully implemented, even if appropriate ones are adopted, the process is futile. The balanced scorecard which focuses on four aspects such as growth and learning, internal processes, customer, and financial is considered as a comprehensive framework for assessing performance and the progress of the strategy. Moreover, the data envelopment analysis is one of the best mathematical methods to compute the efficiency of organizations. The combination of these two techniques is a significant quantitative measurement with respect to the organization’s performance. However, in the real world, determinate and indeterminate information exists. Henceforth, the indeterminate issues are inescapable and must be considered in the performance evaluation. Neutrosophic number is a helpful tool for dealing with information that is indeterminate and incomplete.

Book A Bipolar Fuzzy Extension of the MULTIMOORA Method

Download or read book A Bipolar Fuzzy Extension of the MULTIMOORA Method written by Dragisa STANUJKIC and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 18 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of this paper is to make a proposal for a new extension of the MULTIMOORA method extended to deal with bipolar fuzzy sets. Bipolar fuzzy sets are proposed as an extension of classical fuzzy sets in order to enable solving a particular class of decision-making problems. Unlike other extensions of the fuzzy set of theory, bipolar fuzzy sets introduce a positivemembership function, which denotes the satisfaction degree of the element x to the property corresponding to the bipolar-valued fuzzy set, and the negative membership function, which denotes the degree of the satisfaction of the element x to some implicit counter-property corresponding to the bipolar-valued fuzzy set. By using single-valued bipolar fuzzy numbers, the MULTIMOORA method can be more efficient for solving some specific problems whose solving requires assessment and prediction. The suitability of the proposed approach is presented through an example.

Book A neutrosophic set based TLBO algorithm for the flexible job shop scheduling problem with routing flexibility and uncertain processing times

Download or read book A neutrosophic set based TLBO algorithm for the flexible job shop scheduling problem with routing flexibility and uncertain processing times written by Liangliang Jin and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 21 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Different with the plain flexible job-shop scheduling problem (FJSP), the FJSP with routing flexibility is more complex and it can be deemed as the integrated process planning and (job shop) scheduling (IPPS) problem, where the process planning and the job shop scheduling two important functions are considered as a whole and optimized simultaneously to utilize the flexibility in a flexible manufacturing system. Although, many novel meta-heuristics have been introduced to address this problem and corresponding fruitful results have been observed; the dilemma in real-life applications of resultant scheduling schemes stems from the uncertainty or the nondeterminacy in processing times, since the uncertainty in processing times will disturb the predefined scheduling scheme by influencing unfinished operations. As a result, the performance of the manufacturing system will also be deteriorated. Nevertheless, research on such issue has seldom been considered before. This research focuses on the modeling and optimization method of the IPPS problem with uncertain processing times. The neutrosophic set is first introduced to model uncertain processing times. Due to the complexity in the math model, we developed an improved teaching-learning-based optimization(TLBO) algorithm to capture more robust scheduling schemes.

Book Neutrosophic Sets and Systems Vol 34 2020 Special Issue Social Neutrosophy in Latin America

Download or read book Neutrosophic Sets and Systems Vol 34 2020 Special Issue Social Neutrosophy in Latin America written by Florentin Smarandache and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Neutrosophy as science has inclusive attributes that make possible to extract the contributions of neutral values in the analysis of data sets; it builds a unified field of logic for transdisciplinary studies that transcend the boundaries between natural and social sciences. Neutral philosophy seeks to solve the problems of indeterminacy that appear universally, to reform the current natural or social sciences, with an open methodology to promote innovation. The research products related in this special issue start from the premise that the difficulty is not the complexity of the social environment, but the instrumental obsolescence to observe, interpret and manage that complexity, there are bold approaches and proposals for valid solutions that come to enrich the universe of resolution through the use of neutral methods. In the last year, the use of tools related to neutrosophy and its application to the social sciences, modeling of social phenomena based on simulation agents, problems associated with health, psychology, education, environmental management and sustainability solutions and legal sciences has increased in the events organized by the Asociacion Latinoamericana de Ciencias Neutrosoficas (ALCN in Spanish). The methods of higher incidence are cognitive maps, neutral Iadovs, neutral Delphi, analytical hierarchy process methods, neutral statistics, neutral personality models, among the most significant. In this special issue, there is a predominance of research from Ecuadorian universities, demonstrating how neutrosophy and its methods are consolidated as instruments of analysis, inference and research validation.

Book A Hybrid MCDM Approach for Large Group Green Supplier Selection with Uncertain Linguistic Information

Download or read book A Hybrid MCDM Approach for Large Group Green Supplier Selection with Uncertain Linguistic Information written by Mei-Yun Quan and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With increasing global concerns toward environmental protection and sustainable development, green supply chain management (GSCM) has drawn much attention from academicians and practitioners. Selecting an optimal green supplier is a critical part of GSCM, which can be viewed as a kind of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. To derive the best result, large group of decision makers are often involved in the green supplier selection nowadays. Besides, decision makers tend to express their evaluations utilizing uncertain linguistic terms due to the vagueness of human thinking. Hence, this paper aims to propose a hybrid MCDM approach for green supplier selection within the large group setting. More concretely, interval-valued intuitionistic uncertain linguistic sets (IVIULSs) are applied for assessing the performance of green suppliers concerning each criterion. Ant colony algorithm is utilized to cluster decision makers into several subgroups. The linear programming technique for multidimensional analysis of preference (LINMAP) is adopted for the determination of the optimal weights of criteria objectively. Finally, an extended MULTIMOORA approach is utilized to generate the ranking of alternative suppliers. The practicality and usefulness of the developed large group green supplier selection framework is illustrated using an empirical example of a real estate company.
