Book Mod lisation du couplage hydraulique m canique dans les sols non satur s

Download or read book Mod lisation du couplage hydraulique m canique dans les sols non satur s written by Lamia Guellouz and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE MEMOIRE PRESENTE UNE MODELISATION NUMERIQUE DU COUPLAGE HYDRAULIQUE MECANIQUE DANS LES SOLS NON SATURES. LE MODELE, TOUT EN NEGLIGEANT LES VARIATIONS DE PRESSION DE L'AIR, TIENT COMPTE DE L'INFLUENCE DES DEFORMATIONS VOLUMIQUES SUR L'ECOULEMENT DE L'EAU. QUAND LE SOL EST SATURE, LES EFFETS DES PRESSIONS INTERSTITIELLES SUR LE COMPORTEMENT MECANIQUE DU SOL SONT MODELISES PAR LE PRINCIPE DES CONTRAINTES EFFECTIVES. DANS LE CAS D'UN SOL PARTIELLEMENT SATURE, LE MODELE SUIT, DANS LES LIMITES DE SON DOMAINE DE VALIDITE, LE PRINCIPE DES CONTRAINTES EFFECTIVES ELARGI AUX SOLS NON SATURES. ON MODELISE AUSSI LE COUPLAGE, POUR LES SOLS PARTIELLEMENT SATURES, PAR UNE LOI DEDUITE DE LA NOTION DE SURFACE D'ETAT. DANS LE CHOIX DE LA LOI A UTILISER, NOUS SOMMES GUIDES PAR L'ETAT DE SATURATION DU SOL, LES CONDITIONS DE CHARGEMENT, ET LES RESULTATS EXPERIMENTAUX DONT NOUS DISPOSONS POUR IDENTIFIER LES PARAMETRES DU MODELE. POUR RESOUDRE LE PROBLEME, NOUS L'AVONS FORMULE SOUS FORME DE DEUX PROBLEMES: UN HYDRAULIQUE ET UN MECANIQUE, FORTEMENT COUPLES. LA RESOLUTION SE FAIT PAR LA METHODE DES ELEMENTS FINIS. LE CODE UTILISE EST SIC3 (SYSTEME INTERACTIF DE CONCEPTION) DE L'UNIVERSITE DE TECHNOLOGIE DE COMPIEGNE. L'ALGORITHME DE COUPLAGE COMPORTE DEUX NIVEAUX D'ITERATION IMBRIQUES POUR UN MEME PAS DE TEMPS: UNE PREMIERE RESOLUTION ITERATIVE DES SYSTEMES D'EQUATIONS NON LINEAIRES DE CHAQUE PROBLEME, ET UNE BOUCLE EXTERNE ITERANT SUR L'ENSEMBLE DES DEUX SYSTEMES. LES GRANDEURS DE COUPLAGE SONT ECHANGEES ENTRE LES DEUX AU COURS DU CALCUL. LA SIMULATION DE LA CONSTRUCTION D'UN BARRAGE EN TERRE HOMOGENE: LE BARRAGE DE LA GANNE (14.5M DE HAUTEUR), NOUS A AMENE A DEVELOPPER DES METHODES NUMERIQUES POUR MODELISER LA CONSTRUCTION PAR COUCHES, ET LE CALCUL DES PRESSIONS INTERSTITIELLES DANS LE CAS OU LE SOL EST SUPPOSE NON DRAINE. LA PARTICIPATION AU TROISIEME ATELIER INTERNATIONAL SUR L'ANALYSE NUMERIQUE DES BARRAGES, NOUS A OFFERT L'OPPORTUNITE DE CONFRONTER LES RESULTATS DE NOTRE MODELE A CEUX D'AUTRES PARTICIPANTS ET AUX MESURES EFFECTUEES SUR LE BARRAGE. IL S'AGIT DE SIMULER LA CONSTRUCTION, LA CONSOLIDATION ET LE REMPLISSAGE DU BARRAGE D'EL INFIERNILLO (145M DE HAUTEUR)

Book A Guide To Soil Mechanics

Download or read book A Guide To Soil Mechanics written by Malcolm D Bolton and published by Universities Press. This book was released on 2013 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Covers all the soil mechanics and foundation engineering topics that are commonly included in civil engineering degree courses, and provides a number of springboards into related advanced topics. Although it is intended principally to satisfy the needs of student civil engineers, this guide should also prove useful to those practicing engineers who are unaware of the powerful and elegant reconstruction of the subject which has been made possible by the recent concepts of plasticity, dilatancy and critical states.

Book Enhanced Abutment Scour Studies for Compound Channels

Download or read book Enhanced Abutment Scour Studies for Compound Channels written by Terry W. Sturm and published by DIANE Publishing. This book was released on 2004 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Experimental results and analyses are given in this report on bridge abutment scour in compound channels. Experiments were conducted in a laboratory flume with a cross section consisting of a wide floodplain adjacent to a main channel. The embankment length, discharge, sediment size, and abutment shape were varied, and the resulting equilibrium scour depths were measured. Water-surface profiles, velocities, and scour-hole contours were also measured. In the report, a methodology is developed for estimating abutment scour that takes into account the redistribution of discharge in the bridge contraction, abutment shape, sediment size, and tailwater depth. The independant variables in the proposed scour formula are evaluated at the approach-channel cross section and can be obtained froma one-dimensional water-surface profile computer program such as the Water-Surface Profile Program (WSPRO). The proposed scour evaluation procedure is outlined and illustrated, including consideration of the time required to reach equilibrium scour. The proposed methodology is applied to two cases of measured scour in the field.
