Book Feeling Is the Secret

Download or read book Feeling Is the Secret written by Neville Goddard and published by ببلومانيا للنشر والتوزيع. This book was released on 2024-03-31 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The central premise of the book revolves around the idea that our predominant feelings and emotions shape our reality. Goddard argues that the key to manifesting our desires lies not only in visualizing them but also in feeling as though they have already been realized. Goddard emphasizes the importance of assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, meaning that individuals should immerse themselves emotionally in the experience of having already achieved their desires. He asserts that this emotional state, when sustained consistently, impresses upon the subconscious mind and sets in motion the forces necessary to bring those desires into physical reality. Furthermore, Goddard discusses the concept of mental imagery and its power to create and shape our experiences. He suggests that individuals should use their imagination to create vivid mental scenes that evoke the desired feelings, thereby attracting corresponding circumstances and events. "Feeling Is The Secret" serves as a practical guide for harnessing the creative power of the mind to transform one's life. It encourages readers to cultivate a sense of inner conviction and emotional congruence with their desires, ultimately leading to the manifestation of their dreams and aspirations.

Book The seven Laws of Reality and Being

Download or read book The seven Laws of Reality and Being written by Max Corradi and published by Jaborandi Publishing. This book was released on 2013-12-01 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is mainly based on the seven Hermetic Principles of Reality and Being as described in the Hermetic text “The Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece” and it could be considered its commentary. The seven Laws of Reality can be considered as the essential principles of all the western and eastern spiritual wisdom traditions and can be employed in order to realize one's real nature of Pure Being and change one’s life conditions and circumstances. In final analysis, Truth is always found to be the same whether stated in modern scientific terms or in the language of ancient religion or philosophy, the only difference being in the form of presentation, always bearing in mind that no human formula will ever be able to describe every side of it. Part one of the book describes the seven Hermetic Laws or Principles which govern Reality: the Principle of Mind, the Principle of Cause and Effect, the Principle of Vibration, the Principle of Correspondence, the Principle of Polarity (or Opposites), the Principle of Rhythm (or Cyclicity) and the Principle of Gender. Part two offers many useful methods that can be employed in order to realize one's nature of Pure Being and change one’s conditions and circumstances by working with the seven Hermetic Laws of Reality.

Book Klee s Mirror

Download or read book Klee s Mirror written by John Sallis and published by SUNY Press. This book was released on 2015-02-19 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A philosophical perspective on the relation between Paul Klee’s art and his thought. The artist Paul Klee once said that “art does not reproduce the visible but makes visible.” In Klee’s Mirror John Sallis examines the various ways in which Klee’s art makes visible things that ordinarily go unseen. He shows how Klee’s art is like a mirror capable of reflecting not only the surface appearance of things, but also their hidden depth and the cosmic setting to which they belong. Tracing the relation of Klee’s paintings and drawings to music, poetry, and philosophy, Sallis also takes account of Klee’s own extensive writings, both theoretical and autobiographical, and of the incisive lectures that he presented while teaching at the Bauhaus. Featuring large, high-quality reproductions, Klee’s Mirror shows how the painter’s theories both are exemplified in his art and, in turn, are enhanced and extended by what his art achieves and reveals. “Klee’s Mirror is a masterful interpretation of one of the most inspiring artists in the Western tradition, one that will surely capture the interest of philosophers, art history scholars, as well as students and lovers of Paul Klee’s works.” — Alejandro A. Vallega, author of Sense and Finitude: Encounters at the Limits of Language, Art, and the Political “Paul Klee mused in his diary that his art was a kind of mirror whose aim was not ‘to reflect the surface’ but rather ‘to penetrate inside’ such that, for example, his ‘human faces are truer than the real ones.’ In his exquisite new study, Sallis takes up the complex question of Klee’s mysterious mirrors. On the one hand, Klee’s works themselves are mirrors of truth, making visible, Sallis tells us, ‘what otherwise remains invisible,’ reflecting ‘what lies beyond the visible surface of things.’ On the other hand, Klee’s own theoretical writings are extraordinarily articulate and they uniquely mirror his artistic work. Klee’s paintings are not, however, illustrations or representations of Klee’s ideas. The mirror of Klee’s painting demands a new kind of reflective writing. Finally, there is the mirror of Sallis’ own work, deftly navigating between Klee’s brilliant double mirror play, producing in turn a startlingly and innovative mode of writing that twists free of the dualism of sensibility and intelligibility.” — Jason M. Wirth, author of The Conspiracy of Life: Meditations on Schelling and His Time

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Self-Disclosure of God offers the most detailed presentation to date in any Western language of the basic teachings of Islam's greatest mystical philosopher and theologian. It represents a major step forward in making available to the Western reading public the enormous riches of Islamic teachings in the fields of cosmology, mystical philosophy, theology, and spirituality. The Self-Disclosure of God continues the author's investigations of the world view of Ibn al-ʿArabī, the greatest theoretician of Sufism and the "seal of the Muhammadan saints." The book is divided into three parts, dealing with the relation between God and the cosmos, the structure of the cosmos, and the nature of the human soul. A long introduction orients the reader and discusses a few of the difficulties faced by Ibn al-ʿArabī's interpreters. Like Chittick's earlier work, The Sufi Path of Knowledge, this book is based primarily on Ibn al-ʿArabī's monumental work, al-Futūḥāt al-Makkīyah "The Meccan Openings." More than one hundred complete chapters and subsections are translated, not to mention shorter passages that help put the longer discussions in context. There are detailed indices of sources, Koranic verses and hadiths. The book's index of technical terminology will be an indispensable reference for all those wishing to delve more deeply into the use of language in Islamic thought in general and Sufism in particular.

Book Sufism and Taoism

    Book Details:
  • Author : Toshihiko Izutsu
  • Publisher : Univ of California Press
  • Release : 2016-07-15
  • ISBN : 0520292472
  • Pages : 502 pages

Download or read book Sufism and Taoism written by Toshihiko Izutsu and published by Univ of California Press. This book was released on 2016-07-15 with total page 502 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this deeply learned work, Toshihiko Izutsu compares the metaphysical and mystical thought-systems of Sufism and Taoism and discovers that, although historically unrelated, the two share features and patterns which prove fruitful for a transhistorical dialogue. His original and suggestive approach opens new doors in the study of comparative philosophy and mysticism. Izutsu begins with Ibn 'Arabi, analyzing and isolating the major ontological concepts of this most challenging of Islamic thinkers. Then, in the second part of the book, Izutsu turns his attention to an analysis of parallel concepts of two great Taoist thinkers, Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu. Only after laying bare the fundamental structure of each world view does Izutsu embark, in the final section of the book, upon a comparative analysis. Only thus, he argues, can he be sure to avoid easy and superficial comparisons. Izutsu maintains that both the Sufi and Taoist world views are based on two pivots—the Absolute Man and the Perfect Man—with a whole system of oncological thought being developed between these two pivots. Izutsu discusses similarities in these ontological systems and advances the hypothesis that certain patterns of mystical and metaphysical thought may be shared even by systems with no apparent historical connection. This second edition of Sufism and Taoism is the first published in the United States. The original edition, published in English and in Japan, was prized by the few English-speaking scholars who knew of it as a model in the field of comparative philosophy. Making available in English much new material on both sides of its comparison, Sufism and Taoism richly fulfills Izutsu's motivating desire "to open a new vista in the domain of comparative philosophy."

Book Hegel and the Hermetic Tradition

Download or read book Hegel and the Hermetic Tradition written by Glenn Alexander Magee and published by Cornell University Press. This book was released on 2008 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Glenn Alexander Magee's pathbreaking book argues that Hegel was decisively influenced by the Hermetic tradition, a body of thought with roots in Greco-Roman Egypt. Magee traces the influence on Hegel of such Hermetic thinkers as Baader, Böhme, Bruno, and Paracelsus, and fascination with occult and paranormal phenomena. Hegel and the Hermetic Tradition covers Hegel's philosophical corpus and shows that his engagement with Hermeticism lasted throughout his career and intensified during his final years in Berlin. Viewing Hegel as a Hermetic thinker has implications for a more complete understanding of the modern philosophical tradition, and German idealism in particular.
