Book excerpt: Le paradigme de production et consommation de masse basé sur la vente de produits physiques est actuellement remis en cause du fait de la forte concurrence et des impacts environnementaux engendrés. En ce sens, une économie basée sur les services émerge. Le client n'achète plus un produit physique, mais va payer pour une utilisation ou un résultat fourni par un système global composé de produits et de services. Par conséquent, les concepteurs de produits physiques doivent aujourd'hui revoir la manière dont ils conçoivent ces nouveaux systèmes et en particulier les objets physiques impliqués dans ces systèmes. Ce travail de thèse a conduit à la proposition d'une méthodologie de conception permettant de structurer le développement du système produit-service global vers la conception détaillée des objets physiques impliqués dans ces solutions. Des représentations dérivées de l'analyse fonctionnelle ainsi que la mise en place de scénarios de fonctionnement permettent de décrire l'organisation globale des éléments du système. Cette organisation est modélisée par l'intermédiaire des boucles de conception au sein du bloc diagramme fonctionnel du système. Enfin, la mise en place d'une évaluation basée sur les boucles de conception permet aux concepteurs de s'assurer qu'ils répondent aux performances attendues par le client en faisant le lien entre les paramètres des objets physiques et les unités de service du système.

Book excerpt: Notre étude s'intéresse à l'utilisation et l'exploitation des concepts de ressource et d'activité. Ces notions sont utilisées communément par les ingénieurs et les gestionnaires dans le but d'améliorer les performances des systèmes de production ou de le mesurer financièrement. Malheureusement, l'exploitation pratique de ces concepts se heurte à une difficulté commune aux deux domaines : quantifier les activités. De plus, l'absence de langage commun entre ingénieur et gestionnaire nuie à la liaison entre la vue activité des ingénieurs (vision micro) et la vue coût des gestionnaires (vision macro). Notre travail a contribué, dans un premier temps, à concevoir selon les canons de la modélisation d'entreprise, un modèle de référence qui constituait un chaînon manquant de la fonction lexicologique d'un langage commun. Les manques constatés sur l'existence de démarche concrète exploitant un modèle de référence pour évaluer un système ont abouti à notre seconde contribution : une démarche d'instanciation de notre modèle de référence en un modèle particulier. Enfin, notre objectif étant la quantification des activités, la troisième contribution porte sur une démarche de mesure du modèle particulier, intégrable aux méthodes de conception et d 'évaluation à base d'activités. Nous avons montré diverses applications possibles reposant sur la combinaison des modèles et démarches présentés.

Book excerpt: Dans cette thèse, la flexibilité de deux types de systèmes de gestion de la production est analysée : les systèmes de contrôle en flux poussé et en flux tiré. Pour aboutir à cet objectif, une définition et un cadre d'analyse de la flexibilité d'un système sont bâtis. Une conception dynamique de la flexibilité conduit ainsi à retenir trois dimensions d'évaluation : le degré, l'effort et le temps d'adaptation d'un système aux changements de son contexte. A travers l'application de l'approche postulée, certains problèmes dans lesquels la flexibilité est définie et évaluée sont mieux caractérises. La deuxième partie de la thèse comporte deux phases. La première est constituée de la spécification du modèle de gestion de la production à étudier et de l'analyse de la structure et de la dynamique d'un système de production contrôle selon les modes de gestion en flux poussé et en flux tiré. Dans la deuxième phase, plusieurs facteurs de la production et de la structure dynamique sont identifiés ce qui permet l'évaluation et l'analyse des dimensions de la flexibilité. En même temps, les performances sont évaluées et les liens avec la flexibilité sont établis. Une des constatations de l'étude est que les meilleures valeurs des performances ne se trouvent pas à flexibilité maximale du système. En outre, l'analyse montre que le niveau de flexibilité doit être défini comme une fonction des valeurs désirées des performances ce qui revient à déplacer la perspective d'une situation purement opérationnelle à une optique stratégique.
