Book excerpt: We report measurements of the resonance properties of [Lambda]c(2595)+ and [Lambda]c(2595)+ baryons in their decays to [Lambda]c+[pi]+[pi]- as well as [Sigma]c(2455)++,0 and [Sigma]c(2455)++,0 baryons in their decays to [Lambda]c+[pi]± final states. These measurements are performed using data corresponding to 5.2 fb-1 of integrated luminosity from pp̄ collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV, collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. Exploiting the largest available charmed baryon sample, we measure masses and decay widths with uncertainties comparable to the world averages for [Sigma]c states, and significantly smaller uncertainties than the world averages for excited [Lambda]c+ states.

Book excerpt: Due to an excellent mass resolution and a large amount of available data, the CDF experiment, located at the Tevatron proton-antiproton accelerator, allows the precise measurement of spectroscopic properties, like mass and decay width, of a variety of states. This was exploited to examine the first orbital excitations of the?{sub c} baryon, the resonances?{sub c}(2595) and?{sub c}(2625), in the decay channel?{sub c}?+?−, as well as the?{sub c} spin excitations?{sub c}(2455) and?{sub c}(2520) in its decays to?{sub c}+?− and?{sub c}+?− final states in a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb−1. We present measurements of the mass differences with respect to the?{sub c} and the decay widths of these states, using significantly higher statistics than previous experiments.

Book excerpt: The {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} baryon mass is measured using {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} {yields} {Lambda}K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup +} and {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} {yields} {Sigma}{sup 0}K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup +} decays reconstructed in 232 fb{sup -1} of data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e{sup +}e{sup -} storage ring. The {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} mass is measured to be 2286.46 {+-} 0.14 MeV/c{sup 2}. The dominant systematic uncertainties arise from the amount of material in the tracking volume and from the magnetic field strength.

Book excerpt: Using data recorded by the CLEO-II detector at CESR, we report evidence of a pair of excited charmed baryons, one decaying into[Lambda][sub c][sup+][pi][sup+] and the other into[Lambda][sub c][sup+][pi][sup -]. The doubly charged state has a measured mass difference M([Lambda][sub c][sup+][pi][sup+]) - M([Lambda][sub c][sup+]) of 234.5[+-] 1.1[+-] 0.8 MeV and a width of 17.9[sub -3.2][sup+3.8][+-] 4.0 MeV, and the neutral state has a measured mass difference M([Lambda][sub c][sup+][pi][sup -]) - M([Lambda][sub c][sup+]) of 232.6[+-] 1.0[+-] 0.8 MeV and a width of 13.0[sub -3.0][sup+3.7][+-] 4.0 MeV. We identify these states as[Sigma]*[sub c][sup++] and[Sigma]*[sub c][sup 0], the spin 3/2[sup+] excitations of the[Sigma][sub c] baryons.

They report the ratio of production cross sections times the ratio of branching fractions for the momentum region integrated above p{sub T}> 6 GeV/c and pseudorapidity range.
