This book was released on 2005 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First results of a study of the ee− → ?+?−?+?−? process with hard photon emitted from initial state are presented. About 60000 fully reconstructed events have been selected based on 89.3 fb−1 of BABAR data. The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective collision c.m. energy, and so BABAR ISR data can be compared to the relevant direct e+e− measurements. From obtained 4? mass spectrum we evaluate e+e− → ?+?−?+?− cross section for the range of c.m.s. energy from 0.6 to 4.5 GeV. The systematic error of the cross section measurement is 5% and comparable with the best e+e− data. The cross sections for identified 2K2? and 4K final states also have been presented.

This book was released on 2015 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We extract the e+e-→?+?- cross section in the energy range between 600 and 900 MeV, exploiting the method of initial state radiation. A data set with an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb-1 taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider is used. The cross section is measured with a systematic uncertainty of 0.9%. We extract the pion form factor.

This book was released on 2005 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We study the process ee− 2!?+?−?+?−?, with a hard photon radiated from the initial state. About 60,000 fully reconstructed events have been selected from 89 fb−1 of BABAR data. The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective e+e− center-of-mass energy, so that these data can be compared with the corresponding direct e+e− measurements. From the 4?-mass spectrum, the cross section for the process e+e− 2!?+?−?+?− is measured for center-of-mass energies from 0.6 to 4.5 GeV. The uncertainty in the cross section measurement is typically 5%. We also measure the cross sections for the final states K+K−?+− and K+K−K+K−. We observe the J/? in all three final states and measure the corresponding branching fractions. We search for X(3872) in J/?(2!?+?−)?+?− and obtain an upper limit on the product of the e+e− width of the X(3872) and the branching fraction for X(3872) 2!J/??+?−.

This book was released on 2006 with total page 26 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We study the processes e{sup +}e{sup -} {yields} 3({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}){gamma}, 2({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup 0}){gamma} and K{sup +}K{sup -} 2({pi}{sup +} {sup -}){gamma}, with the photon radiated from the initial state. About 20,000, 33,000 and 4,000 fully reconstructed events, respectively, have been selected from 232 fb{sup -1} of BABAR data. The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective e{sup +}e{sup -} center-of-mass energy, so that these data can be compared with the corresponding direct e{sup +}e{sup -} measurements. From the 3({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}), 2({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup 0}) and K{sup +}K{sup -} 2({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}) mass spectra, the cross sections for the processes e{sup +}e{sup -} {yields} 3({pi}{sup +}{sup -}), e{sup +}e{sup -} {yields} 2({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup 0}) and e{sup +}e{sup -} {yields} K{sup +}K{sup -} 2({pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}) are measured for center-of-mass energies from production threshold to 4.5 GeV. The uncertainty in the cross section measurement is typically 6-15%. We observe the J/{psi} in all these final states and measure the corresponding branching fractions.

Book Measurements of E e to KKeta KKpi0 and KsKpi CrossSections Using Initial State Radiation Events

Download or read book Measurements of E e to KKeta KKpi0 and KsKpi CrossSections Using Initial State Radiation Events written by and published by . This book was released on 2007 with total page 27 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper reports measurements of processes: ee− →?K°{sub s}K{sup {+-}}?{sup {+-}}, e+e− →?K+K−?°, e+e− →??? and e+e− →???°. The initial state radiated photon allows to cover the hadronic final state in the energy range from thresholds up to ≈ 4.6 GeV. The overall size of the data sample analyzed is 232 fb−1, collected by the BABAR detector running at the PEP-II e+e− storage ring. From the Dalitz plot analysis of the K°{sub s}K{sup {+-}}?{sup {+-}} final state, moduli and relative phase of the isoscalar and the isovector components of the e+e− → KK*(892) cross section are determined. Parameters of? and? recurrences are also measured, using a global fitting procedure which exploits the interconnection among amplitudes, moduli and phases of the e+e− →K°{sub s}K{sup {+-}}?{sup {+-}}, K+K−?°,?? final states. The cross section for the OZI-forbidden process e+e− →??° and the J/? branching fractions to KK*(892) and K+K−? are also measured.

Book 30 Years Of Bes Physics Proceedings Of The Symposium On 30 Years Of Bes Physics

Download or read book 30 Years Of Bes Physics Proceedings Of The Symposium On 30 Years Of Bes Physics written by Changzheng Yuan and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2020-06-05 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: BES, the Beijing Spectrometer, began its first groundbreaking physics run, thirty years ago, in 1989. This is the first high energy physics experiment in China, and has been unique throughout the world for its thorough and extended coverage of the tau and charm energy region. Since then, the BES detector has undergone steady improvements, upgrading to BESII in 1998 and to BESIII in 2008. Over the same period, the collaboration has expanded from 150 members, across 10 institutions in China and the United States, to about 500 members, across 72 institutions and 15 countries. The physics program, too, has extended from light hadron spectroscopy, tau, and charm physics to the discovery of exotic charmonium-like states, precision tests of the Standard Model of particle physics, and searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model. This special volume collects the proceedings of the symposium held at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Beijing, in celebration of the 30-year span of achievements and progress at the BES, BESII, and BESIII experiments. Written by many leaders of the BES collaborations, these proceedings document the early days of the BES experiments, important milestones, and the future physics program at BESIII.

Book Study of the Pi pi J psi Mass Spectrum Via Initial State Radiation at BaBar

Download or read book Study of the Pi pi J psi Mass Spectrum Via Initial State Radiation at BaBar written by and published by . This book was released on 2008 with total page 13 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We present an update of the study of the Y(4260) resonance, produced in the process ee− →?{sub ISR}?+?− J/? using initial-state radiation events at the PEP-II e+e− storage rings. This study is based on 454 fb−1 of data recorded with the BABAR detector at a center-of-mass energy in the?(4S) resonance region. From a fit with a single non-relativistic Breit-Wigner shape we obtain updated parameters for the Y(4260) resonance which are m{sub Y} = 4252 ± 6−3{sup +2} MeV/c2 and?{sub Y} = 105 ± 18−6{sup +4} MeV/c2; we also measure?(?+?− J/?)?{sub e{sup +}e−} = (7.5 ± 0.9 ± 0.8) eV. We cannot confirm the recent BELLE observation of a broad structure around 4.05GeV/c2 in this decay mode.
