Book Master Kettlebell Grips

Download or read book Master Kettlebell Grips written by Taco Fleur and published by Cavemantraining. This book was released on with total page 59 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains the most basic and fundamental information for kettlebell training, grip! Many years ago I decided to dedicate a book on grips, after seeing many people fumble with kettlebell grips during transitions and exercises. Knowing how to grip/hold your kettlebell is extremely important for efficiency and safety. Why should you learn about grips? It is important to know and understand kettlebell grips for efficiency and being able to work the muscles intended for the exercise in question. Employing an incorrect grip can mean pain; being uncomfortable; cause for injury; exhausting grip, forearm, biceps or shoulder muscles and losing focus on the muscles targeted with a specific exercise. Why use different grips? If you're asking this question, then you're asking the right question because knowing a lot of grips is cool, but knowing why you would change grip or use one over the other is even cooler and the part you should really understand. During kettlebell training, you employ different grips to make certain exercises more efficient, but you also change grips to increase difficulty and challenge other muscle groups. Sometimes when your training gets stale you might even employ a different grip to please the mind. While knowing kettlebell grips and when to employ them is important and one of the kettlebell fundamentals, the second most important thing you should start looking into is racking a kettlebell. It might seem insignificant, but a lot hinges on how you rack your kettlebell, in fact, some people give up on kettlebell training because they can't get comfortable in the racking position or can't find the proper position for the bell to rest. This book contains over 25 kettlebell training grips and comes paired with a photo for each and everyone. This is it, this is what you'll be building the rest of your kettlebell journey upon, without this information you'll be fumbling around with the kettlebell and even after years of training still look like you just started.

Book Snatch Physics

Download or read book Snatch Physics written by Taco Fleur and published by Taco Fleur. This book was released on 2018-11-01 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The snatch is a full body exercise that delivers amazing effects. The snatch can be used to increase cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, strength, flexibility, core stability, explosive power, and much more. The snatch truly works each and every major joint in the body, ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbow, and wrists. For strength, you can't deny the major areas that will improve, such as, latissimus dorsi, deltoid, triceps, erector spinae, abdominals, glute, hamstrings, calves, hip flexors, quadriceps, lumbrical muscles, and many more. All these properties make it the king of kettlebell exercises, an exercise everyone should include in his or her training. Mastering the snatch takes time, as someone who has completed 532 unbroken snatches in 30 minutes, working with kettlebells for over a decade, and trained thousands of people across the world, I'm able to break down the snatch step-by-step in such a way that you can go from zero to comfortably snatching at the end of the 21 days. The snatch is an exercise in which a weight is lifted in one continuous motion from start to overhead with an explosive movement in which the weight arrives at the top through velocity generated at the start till approximately middle of the full movement. Includes many photos of the exercises and drills broken down step-by-step. Bonus links to videos which demo the full movement and drills. This book is not just for those wanting to learn how to snatch but also for those wanting to know the snatch exercise inside out. SNATCHING IS FOR OLDER PEOPLE As I get older (currently 45) I truly believe that the snatch is an exercise that older people should be doing to remain explosive and have one go to exercise to work the whole body. I've recently taught a 60-year-old how to snatch and I see how his posture and movement changed from day one.

This volume covers kettlebells carries, cleans, curl, and getups. Each subject has just enough information to keep it basic and understandable. Kettlebell Carry Support and move a kettlebell from one place to another. The support can be provided in the form of overhead, racked, hanging, or a mixture of aforementioned methods. Kettlebell Clean A kettlebell clean is an explosive lower-body powered movement that lifts a kettlebell from a lower position to a higher position which is called racking position. The clean can be performed from the ground (dead), hanging position, or a during a ballistic movement like the swing. Anytime a clean is performed with a swing, then that swing can be either one of the following movements, hip hinge swing, pendulum swing, or squat swing. Kettlebell Curl Curl refers to the curling motion which in exercise can be performed with the elbow or knee joint, i.e. Biceps Curls or Leg Curls. Think flexion and extension of the elbow joint, or decreasing and increasing the angle of the elbow joint. When it comes to kettlebell training the common curling exercise used is the biceps curl, although technically speaking the leg curl could be performed laying down and the foot through the window of the kettlebell. Kettlebell Get-up To get up into a fully erect position any way possible from laying flat on the floor. This can be done with 1 or 2 kettlebells positioned overhead or racked.

Book Kettlebell Strength Program Prometheus

Download or read book Kettlebell Strength Program Prometheus written by Taco Fleur and published by . This book was released on 2019-07-13 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A six-week kettlebell strength program that can be completed with a single kettlebell. The program is simple and based on three super-powerful kettlebell exercises that work the full-body. Everything you need to complete the workout and program is covered in this book, warm-ups, exercise descriptions, photos, how to adjust the program, alternative exercises, muscle priming, and even a bonus video of the workout so you can see how to execute the movements. In Greek mythology, Prometheus is a Titan, who is credited with the creation of man from clay, and who defies the gods by stealing fire and giving it to humanity, an act that enabled progress and civilization. In our kettlebell world, Prometheus is going to be your progression in strength. The book has photos of the exercises but as a bonus, you get access to a video so you can see the workout in action. This kettlebell strength program is simple, simple as in just 3 exercises and 4 reps per set. Don't confuse that with easy. The exercises were carefully chosen for the following reasons. The first goal was to keep the exercise selection to a bare minimum. Both the swing and jerk are a full-body exercise, the swings hit the full posterior chain and quads, the jerks hit the legs and arms, and the rows work the upper part of the back which is usually neglected in training. All this combined will require recruitment of just about every muscle in your body. Not only will you look better after 6 weeks, but you'll also feel like the incredible hulk and move like spiderman. In all seriousness, you will gain an incredible amount of strength if you stick to the program, you will move better, feel better, and have increased mobility, especially in the hips and overhead. Results Some of the results you can expect when completing this program correctly are, but not limited to: Increase of overall strength Shoulder strength Leg strength Core strength Hip strength Arm strength Calf strength Increase of overall flexibility Shoulder stability Overall hypertrophy Triceps hypertrophy Quadriceps hypertrophy Latissimus hypertrophy Deltoids hypertrophy Increase of self-confidence Table of Contents About the author Results Number of kettlebells required What weight to start with Alternative exercises Why the rep range Adjust the program Warm-up Muscle priming routine Workout Frequency Progression Rest Accountability Exercise selection Kettlebell jerks Bent-over dead rows Kettlebell swings Single arm swing Double kettlebell Squat swing Racking Bonus resources About the author My name is Taco Fleur, and I'm a Russian Girevoy Sport Institute Kettlebell Coach, IKFF Certified Kettlebell Trainer, Kettlebell Level 1 + 2 Trainer, Kettlebell Science and Application, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Judges Certificate, CrossFit Programming Certificate, MMA Conditioning Level 1, MMA Fitness Level 1 + 2, Punchfit Trainer and Plyometrics Trainer Certified, with a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
