Download or read book Comunicaci n pol tica y gobierno de coalici n written by Ridao i Martín, Joan and published by Editorial UOC. This book was released on 2016-09-07 with total page 328 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Marketing pol tico written by Lourdes Martín Salgado and published by Grupo Planeta (GBS). This book was released on 2002 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book International Media Research written by John R. Corner and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2004-01-14 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: International Media Research offers a rigorous and critical review of key approaches and concerns that have recently defined the field of media research. In this clearly argued collection of essays, the contributors analyze and reflect upon dominant themes and debates that have made media research an increasingly important element of cultural theory. The volume begins with a critical evaluation of the work of the leading media scholar, Elihu Katz, and continues with an exploration of the relationship between media studies and adjacent disciplines: cultural studies and gender and sexuality. Contributors drawn from Britain, America, Canada and Belgium consider the relationships between media research and media policy in different national and international contexts. Focusing on the European Union, East-Central Europe, North America and Latin America, chapters assess the impact of social, economic and political circumstances on policy debates and the shaping of the research agenda. The final chapter adopts a transatlantic perspective in tracing and analysing the history of the media's role in reporting war.

This book was released on 2020-07-30 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Publicidad contagiosa written by Silvia Sivera and published by Editorial UOC. This book was released on 2016-06-30 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Latin America s Leaders written by Rut Diamint and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2015-12-15 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cult-of-personality or true democracy? The rise of populism worldwide, combined with the overwhelming success of leaders in Latin America, has positioned the region at the forefront of political debate. Conventional wisdom presents this trend as a handful of charismatic individuals leading an ideological challenge to liberal democracy. But can it really be that simple? Based on exclusive interviews with over three hundred politicians – former presidents, vice presidents, current party officials and hundreds more – Latin America's Leaders exposes what the Pink Tide really thinks of its presidents. Arguing that the political styles of leaders such as Hugo Chávez, Rafael Correa, Álvaro Uribe and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner are far better explained in the context of their respective countries' party systems, the authors examine political stability through the paradoxical relationship between democracy and the concentration of power in charismatic individuals. This is the definitive guide to the world's most left-wing continent.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book The Routledge Handbook of Political Communication in Ibero America written by Andreu Casero-Ripollés and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2024-10-31 with total page 517 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Routledge Handbook of Political Communication in Ibero-America addresses the relationship between communication, politics, and digital technologies in Latin American and the Iberian Peninsula, a geographical space linked by social, cultural, and linguistic aspects. In recent years, digital media have been central in the dialogue established by political parties, institutions, the media, and citizens. In this hybrid space emerged certain phenomena that are of interest, particularly in the Ibero-American landscape, including disinformation and fake news, protests on social media, the organization of social movements, the relationship between the press and the state, political participation, populism, the role played by emotions and memes, the impact of AI and platformization on politics, and topics of debate in the public sphere. This Handbook is structured into nine parts, beginning with a historical contextualization and then exploring central aspects of the discipline. It then goes on to study trends at the regional level, increasing knowledge about how political communication and digital technologies are changing multiple aspects of Ibero-American societies, where political communication plays a fundamental role – especially in electoral processes, with its consequent effects on democracy. This Handbook will be of interest to academics, students, and professionals in the fields of political science, communication, journalism, advertising, marketing, and sociology, as well as public opinion consulting. It will be of particular interest to undergraduate and postgraduate students from Latin America, Portugal, and Spain.
