Download or read book Gastronomic Tourism Experiences and Experiential Marketing written by Saurabh Kumar Dixit and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2022-12-30 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines and offers insights into original, transdisciplinary, conceptual, and methodological perspectives on gastronomic tourism experiences from both tourists and service providers’ perspectives. Gastronomic experiences for tourists can take many forms, including cooking classes, sustainable gastronomy, visiting farms, attending food festivals, and eating with locals in their home, among others. From an experiential marketing perspective, gastronomic tourist experiences provide an opportunity to further understand co-creation opportunities for chefs, destinations and other service providers. Service providers play a key role in packaging and promoting such experiences to differentiate destinations and build their reputation and destination image. The various chapters in this book cover a wide range of gastronomic experiences from different continents including Australia, Asia and Europe. The book also provides a review of current research themes on the topic, thus identifying areas where further research is needed. Gastronomic Tourism Experiences and Experiential Marketing is an essential read for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of Tourism, Hospitality, Management and Consumer Behaviour. This book will also be beneficial for industry practitioners and service providers who have an interest in understanding tourists who partake in gastronomic experiences. The chapters in this book were originally published as a special issue of Tourism Recreation Research.

It also looks, in turn, at each of the principal regions, and concentrate on the long-term economic and social changes and the various forces which promoted the changes.

Book Experiences and Challenges in the Development of the Chinese Capital Market

Download or read book Experiences and Challenges in the Development of the Chinese Capital Market written by Douglas Cumming and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-07-28 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The focus of the global economy has increasingly shifted toward China and emerging countries. However, despite their high growth prospects, emerging economies often lack the sound capital market and corporate governance systems necessary to promote the efficient allocation of financial resources to maintain the confidence of capital providers. As China becomes more prominent economically, the development of its capital market becomes an increasingly important issue. This book presents some of the latest academic research on China's capital markets, demonstrating some of the major issues currently being faced. Preeminent researchers in the field examine key topics such as the performance of commercial banks, dividends and ownership, financial constraints and firm performance, the role of political networks, stock price decomposition, stock return predictability, and the role of media coverage. In this book, the authors use the country's institutional background to offer useful insight into policy implications for the development of China as well as other emerging economies.

This book was released on 2004-01-21 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As ASEAN Vision 2020 proclaims, the members of ASEAN have achieved remarkable success in economic growth, stability and poverty reduction, over the past decades. There are, however, still diverse debates as to the factors which contributed to the success, with no conclusive assessment. This volume reviews the domestic reforms effectively introduced by ASEAN members after the 1997 financial crisis and what could be done to accelerate such reforms. With the entry of the 4 new members into ASEAN, possible measures to strengthen both intra- and extra-ASEAN regional cooperation frameworks are sought so that the 10 ASEAN members can make a smooth economic and social transformation to tackle globalization and accommodate the two highly competitive giant economies, China and India. The study also seeks to identify what could be the role of Japan in promoting its economic relations with the ASEAN-10 under the ongoing framework of the WTO and the ASEAN-Plus-Three in the light of the current trend towards greater regionalism in Europe and the Americas.
