Book Management Education in India

Download or read book Management Education in India written by Manish Thakur and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-08-08 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume problematizes different facets of management education in India---pedagogy, curricula, and disciplinary and institutional practices---from the perspective of the Global South. The essays in this volume bring out the institutional challenges of crafting a relevant academic programme that converses with both national specificities and global realities. Coming from diverse academic specializations, the contributors traverse the interface of their respective disciplines with management education. In doing so, they engage with the ongoing global debate on management education. This volume fills a noticeable gap of serious, scholarly reflection on the state of management education. While there have been sporadic reflections and occasional critiques, a critical stocktaking of the institutional and disciplinary aspects of management education has been long wanting. This volume is of interest to scholars and practitioners of management education across the globe, and is likely to generate debate on its contemporary relevance and future trajectory.

Book The Vibration of Heat Exchanger Tubes

Download or read book The Vibration of Heat Exchanger Tubes written by Prof. Bharat Raj Singh and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2019-12-07 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The vibration of Heat Exchange Tubes due to hydrodynamic fluid coupling is an international problem for Nuclear fuel assemblies etc. on account of frequent failure of Heat exchanger tube, which causes not only expensive repair but a great loss to the plant. Thus, several studies in this field have been made so far. But here, a study of three circular cylindrical tubes in a liquid is done on the analytical approach. The author also describes the various parameters for maximum efficiency of heat transmission from Heat Exchanger's, which is defined as; nH =F (G/R, V) = Heat transmission efficiency of the heat exchanger, where G=gap between two adjoining tubes, R= Radius of cylindrical tubes (if considered of same diameters) and V= fluid flow velocity and geometry of tubes. The relations amongst the above parameters are yet to derive to solve this problem.

Book excerpt: The goal of this book is to make a link between fundamental research in the field of cognitive neurosciences, which now benefits from a better knowledge of the neural foundations of cerebral processing, and its clinical application, especially in neurosurgery – itself able to provide new insights into brain organization. The anatomical bases are presented, advances and limitations of the different methods of functional cerebral mapping are discussed, updated models of sensorimotor, visuospatial, language, memory, emotional, and executive functions are explained in detail. In the light of these data, new strategies of surgical management of cerebral lesions are proposed, with an optimization of the benefit–risk ratio of surgery. Finally, perspectives about brain connectivity and plasticity are discussed on the basis of translational studies involving serial functional neuroimaging, intraoperative cortico-subcortical electrical mapping, and biomathematical modeling of interactions between parallel distributed neural networks.
