Download or read book Les Multiplicateurs written by Liz Wiseman and published by Mango Media Inc.. This book was released on 2022-05-10 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Management Control and Creativity written by Sophie Bollinger and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2023-11-28 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Innovation is an essential growth lever for organizations. Like any strategic element, it must be managed to ensure the right decision is made at the right time. When we talk about management, we naturally also consider management control. However, using management tools can be a danger to developing creativity – an essential element of innovation. This book examines the interdependencies between management control and creativity. By comparing two organizational contexts, we highlight the vital role of organizations as generators of creativity. We also underline the acceptance of an imbalance between the elements in tension, which can lead to the questioning and fostering of innovation; and the role of senior management as mediators between organizations and local actors.

Download or read book Machine Learning for Asset Management and Pricing written by Henry Schellhorn and published by SIAM. This book was released on 2024-03-26 with total page 267 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This textbook covers the latest advances in machine learning methods for asset management and asset pricing. Recent research in deep learning applied to finance shows that some of the (usually confidential) techniques used by asset managers result in better investments than the more standard techniques. Cutting-edge material is integrated with mainstream finance theory and statistical methods to provide a coherent narrative. Coverage includes an original machine learning method for strategic asset allocation; the no-arbitrage theory applied to a wide portfolio of assets as well as other asset management methods, such as mean-variance, Bayesian methods, linear factor models, and strategic asset allocation; recent techniques such as neural networks and reinforcement learning, and more classical ones, including nonlinear and linear programming, principal component analysis, dynamic programming, and clustering. The authors use technical and nontechnical arguments to accommodate readers with different levels of mathematical preparation. The book is easy to read yet rigorous and contains a large number of exercises. Machine Learning for Asset Management and Pricing is intended for graduate students and researchers in finance, economics, financial engineering, and data science focusing on asset pricing and management. It will also be of interest to finance professionals and analysts interested in applying machine learning to investment strategies and asset management. This textbook is appropriate for courses on asset management, optimization with applications, portfolio theory, and asset pricing.
Download or read book Time Temporality and History in Process Organization Studies written by Juliane Reinecke and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2020-12-24 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Time, timing, and temporality are inherently important to organizational process studies, yet time remains an under-theorized construct that has struggled to move much beyond chronological conceptions of "clock" time. Missing from this linear view are ongoing debates about objectivity versus subjectivity in the experience of time, linear versus alternative structures of time, or an appreciation of collective or culturally determined inferences of temporality. This is critical as our understanding of time and temporality can shape how we view and relate to organizational phenomena, either as unfolding processes or stable objects. History is equally important. While we have an intuitive sense of history as a process, organizational theorists have struggled to move beyond two limited conceptualizations: history as a constraint on organization's capacity for change, or history as a unique source of competitive advantage. Both approaches suffer from the restrictive view of history as an objective set of "brute facts" that are exterior to the individuals, organizations, and collectives that experience them. Yet management theory is acquiring an awareness of time, history, and memory as critical elements in processes of organizing. This volume draws together emerging strands of interest in adopting a more nuanced orientation toward time, temporality, and history to better understand the temporal aspects of organizational processes.

This book was released on 2020-04-06 with total page 500 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book brings together papers presented at the 3rd Conference of Research in Economics and Management (CIREG) held in Morocco in May 2016. With a focus on the challenges of SMEs and innovative solutions, they highlight the contribution of researchers in the fields of business and management, with all their micro and macro-economic aspects. They shed light on the universal scientific vision of the importance of SMEs with answers relevant to their local context and adapted to their specific national situation. The relevance of SME research lies in its heuristic value of analyzing change, rather than in constructing a category, a particularly useful empirical concept. This first volume is focused on economic issues.
