Book Mafia Minded Ministers

Download or read book Mafia Minded Ministers written by Nixon McDonald and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2014-09-05 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a true story about a mans life, it is a revealing story and its not meant to down grade or make negative the ministry of the gospel. It is to share some of the things that happened to me in my life, so that it will help some young minister that may experience similar situation. This story is about a group of minister that had many members and substance, but because of greed, envy and power, they tried to keep others from having anything, thus emulating the mafia tactics on a fellow minister by trying to hinder him and even to put the church he pastored out of business. They seemed to have the idea that the young minister was infringing on their territory, if he were not stopped. They tried everything in their power to stop him. If youve ever seen a mafia movie you would actually think that this was an enactment of a Mafia scene played out on stage, where one mob boss would use force and tries to put the other out of business. This is the type story you are about to read, only instead of the Mafia, its Mafia Minded Ministers. Read the story and judge for yourself! Dr. Nixon McDonald, Jr

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Raised in the heart of an aging Brooklyn neighborhood, Robert was a small but fiery, attention-deprived Italian boy, drawn to the flashy lifestyle of neighborhood wiseguys. His early years ushered in the opportunity to become a part of that world, as he began running errands and selling illegal goods for these same men. Simultaneously, his reputation as a fierce fighter grew, and by the time he was a young adult, he had made an impression on influential members of the Gambino crime family. After beating a murder rap, he was on his way to Mafia stardom, mentored and protected by one of the most prominent wise guys In New York City. While the pleasure of notoriety was fulfilling, a powerful addiction to drugs soon overrode it, negating Robert's credibility among his mobster brothers. Even the bond of fatherhood wasn't enough to draw him out of his chemically-dependent prison. In his mind, the situation left him with only two possible conclusions; either he will die overdosing, or the men to whom he swore allegiance will silence him before the drugs have a chance. The Witness is the compelling account of the hard and fast life of an "up-and-coming star" within the Mafia ranks, the downward spiral created by his addiction to drugs, and his spiritual rebirth spurred by the heart-wrenching plea of his little girl.

He explores themes of his life in the ministry, commercialisation of the gospel, lessons learnt from countries he travelled to in an effort to gain powers, and detailof the occult operation. After years of struggling to accomplish his mission of pastoring a mega church and impacting the world, he became frustrated, strayed from his true calling and fell into the trap of exploring secret powers hidden in the church today. He operated as General Khatha-Khatha within a counterfeit spiritual movement that operates under the banner of prophecy and instant miracles. This movement operates using secret powers to attract huge crowds, charges consultation fees, and promises people miracle money; leaders of this movement also perform false prophecies and staged miracles. After reading the Church Mafia, you will begin to understand that most operations in churches today are influenced by secret societies. This book will enable you to be enlightened and never to be fooled by any false doctrine practised in the church today. The main aim of the book is to make the Body of Christ at large aware of the secret operation that has captured so many churches today. It is hoped that after reading this book, your life will be enriched.

Book Mafia Organizations

Download or read book Mafia Organizations written by Maurizio Catino and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2019-02-07 with total page 359 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How do mafias work? How do they recruit people, control members, conduct legal and illegal business, and use violence? Why do they establish such a complex mix of rituals, rules, and codes of conduct? And how do they differ? Why do some mafias commit many more murders than others? This book makes sense of mafias as organizations, via a collative analysis of historical accounts, official data, investigative sources, and interviews. Catino presents a comparative study of seven mafias around the world, from three Italian mafias to the American Cosa Nostra, Japanese Yakuza, Chinese Triads, and Russian mafia. He identifies the organizational architecture that characterizes these criminal groups, and relates different organizational models to the use of violence. Furthermore, he advances a theory on the specific functionality of mafia rules and discusses the major organizational dilemmas that mafias face. This book shows that understanding the organizational logic of mafias is an indispensable step in confronting them.

Book Criminal Markets and Mafia Proceeds

Download or read book Criminal Markets and Mafia Proceeds written by Ernesto Savona and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-03-22 with total page 169 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book estimates the proceeds of crime and mafia revenues for different criminal markets such as sexual exploitation, drugs, illicit cigarettes, loan sharking, extortion racketeering, counterfeiting, illicit firearms, illegal gambling and illicit waste management. It is the first time that scholars have adopted detailed methodologies to ensure the highest reliability and validity of the estimation. Overall, estimated proceeds of crime amount to € 22.8 billion: 1.5% of the Italian GDP. Of this, up to € 10.7 billion (0.7 of the GDP) may be attributable to the Italian mafias. These figures are considerably lower than the ones most frequently circulated on the news, without any details about their methodology, which were defined by a UN study as "gross overestimates". Far from underestimating criminal revenues, the results of this study bring the issue of the proceeds of crime to an empirically-based debate, providing support for improved future estimates and more effective policies. The volume’s contributions were inspired by a project awarded by the Italian Ministry of Interior to Transcrime, which produced the first report on mafia investments (www.investimentioc.it). This book was originally published as a special issue of Global Crime.

These various organisations have been eviscerated, hollowed out and left ineffective. They have been infiltrated and compromised and, as a result, prominent underworld figures have been able to flourish in South Africa, setting up elaborate networks of crime with the assistance of many cops. The criminal justice system has been left exposed and it is crucial that the South African public knows about the capture that has occurred on different levels.

Book History of the Mafia

    Book Details:
  • Author : Salvatore Lupo
  • Publisher : Columbia University Press
  • Release : 2009
  • ISBN : 0231131356
  • Pages : 348 pages

Download or read book History of the Mafia written by Salvatore Lupo and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 2009 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When we think of the Italian Mafia, we think of Marlon Brando, Tony Soprano, and the Corleones--iconic actors and characters who give shady dealings a mythical pop presence. Yet these sensational depictions take us only so far. The true story of the Mafia reveals both an organization and mindset dedicated to the preservation of tradition. It is no accident that the rise of the Mafia coincided with the unification of Italy and the influx of immigrants into America. The Mafia means more than a horse head under the sheets--it functions as an alternative to the state, providing its own social and political justice. Combining a nuanced history with a unique counternarrative concerning stereotypes of the immigrant, Salvatore Lupo, a leading historian of modern Italy and a major authority on its criminal history, has written the definitive account of the Sicilian Mafia from 1860 to the present. Consulting rare archival sources, he traces the web of associations, both illicit and legitimate, that have defined Cosa Nostra during its various incarnations. He focuses on several crucial periods of transition: the Italian unification of 1860 to 1861, the murder of noted politician Notarbartolo, fascist repression of the Mafia, the Allied invasion of 1943, social conflicts after each world war, and the major murders and trials of the 1980s. Lupo identifies the internal cultural codes that define the Mafia and places these codes within the context of social groups and communities. He also challenges the belief that the Mafia has grown more ruthless in recent decades. Rather than representing a shift from "honorable" crime to immoral drug trafficking and violence, Lupo argues the terroristic activities of the modern Mafia signify a new desire for visibility and a distinct break from the state. Where these pursuits will take the family adds a fascinating coda to Lupo's work.

Book The Use and Abuse of the Spirit in Pentecostalism

Download or read book The Use and Abuse of the Spirit in Pentecostalism written by Mookgo S. Kgatle and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-11-29 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a pneumatological reflection on the use and abuse of the Spirit in light of the abuse of religion within South African Pentecostalism. Both emerging and well-established scholars of South African Pentecostalism are brought together to reflect on pneumatology from various approaches, which includes among others: historical, biblical, migration, commercialisation of religion, discernment of spirits and human flourishing. From a broader understanding of the function of the Holy Spirit in different streams of Pentecostalism, the argument is that this function has changed with the emergence of the new Prophetic churches in South Africa. This is a fascinating insight into one of the major emerging worldwide religious movements. As such, it will be of great interest to academics in Pentecostal Studies, Christian Studies, Theology, and Religious Studies as well as African Studies and the Sociology of Religion.
