Book M s all del dolor de la p rdida Beyond the Pain of A Loss

Download or read book M s all del dolor de la p rdida Beyond the Pain of A Loss written by Lorena Alonso and published by National Geographic Books. This book was released on 2022-04-26 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Mindfulness for conscious mourning. A very helpful book for those who have lost a loved one and are in the process of grieving. "Grief is the process by which we go from losing what we have to recovering what we have lost." In this book, Lorena Alonso gives us the information and tools necessary to learn to accept the transitoriness of life and the inevitability of death. She explains in detail what a grieving process is, its different phases and different approaches, while bringing us closer to the philosophy of mindfulness and Buddhist compassion. Thus helping us understand how these can be revealing psychospiritual and self-knowledge instruments when it comes to giving meaning to the pain, walking towards recovery, and the subsequent post-traumatic growth after loss. To do this, the author proposes different meditative practices of mindfulness to work on, —consciously, serenely, and in the present moment— aspects such as harmful thoughts, guilt, farewell, pending issues, acceptance, and serenity, as well as other spiritual needs. She helps mourners become aware of the pain, to evolve and go from being victims to active observers, to find a new meaning in life and thus achieve the psychological well-being that is so essential in life.

Book excerpt: Sri Lanka, 1979. The Herath family has just moved to Sal Mal Lane, a quiet street disturbed only by the cries of the children whose triumphs and tragedies sustain the families that live there. As the neighbors adapt to the newcomers in different ways, the children fill their days with cricket matches, romantic crushes, and small rivalries. The innocence of the children—a beloved sister and her overprotective siblings, a rejected son and his twin sisters, two very different brothers—contrasts sharply with the petty prejudices of the adults charged with their care. But the tremors of civil war are mounting, and it is only a matter of time before the conflict engulfs them all and the sleepy neighborhood erupts in violence. Tender and heartbreaking, On Sal Mal Lane is an evocative story of what was lost to a country and its people.

Download or read book Grief Matters written by Janice M. Mann and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-10-29 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Grief Matters is a powerfully written primer on understanding the body-mind-spirit construct of handling grief. It teaches the reader to define grief in its various forms, educates the reader on how grief moves through the body, teaches them coping skills to move through the process of grief and teaches the reader to be able to acknowledge and understand the symptoms of grief. Identifying what symptoms you are feeling is critical to the healing process. Clearly there exist different forms of grief: a divorce will be different than a death of a loved one; the loss of a job will be different than losing a pet; and children grieve differently than adults. Learning to make grief your friend and not your enemy is an important part of the healing process. Popular chapters on the Identifying Symptoms of Grief, Loss of Loved Ones, Children's Grief Processes, The Loss of Your Pet, Visitors from the Other Side are considered some of the best work written on the Grief Process!
