Se considera que su fuente principal fue el Libro de Enoch. El Libro de los Gigantes, así como el Libro de Enoch, contiene los sucesos correspondientes a los Nephilim, descendencia de los Vigilantes o ángeles caídos. El Libro de los Gigantes narra la historia y en detalle expone las hazañas de estos inmensos personajes, en especial de Shemihaza, Ohya y Hahya. Debido a que no existe un manuscrito completo, no se tiene el orden y contenido exacto. De este texto, existen dos versiones principales, la versión del Mar Muerto que está escrita en arameo; y otra versión que fue escrita en persa y adaptada para la religión maniquea. Este material expone el comienzo, la historia, la información de estos rollos antiguos respecto a los gigantes, y el resto de información que de aquí se desprende. Como resultado veremos un panorama amplio de los ángeles, los Vigilantes, los gigantes, Nephilim, la versión del Libro de Enoc al respecto, entre otros temas desde la perspectiva bíblica. El Libro de los Gigantes, es sin duda alguna, uno de los documentos más sorprendentes e interesantes encontrados en las cuevas de Qumrán. También, miraremos esta información desde el lente de las Sagradas Escrituras, y haremos comparativos de toda esta información. Como lamentablemente, hay poco registro escrito en estos rollos de las hazañas y aventuras de estos gigantes, es probable que muchas historias de la mitología antigua sean derivadas de sus acciones. En el anexo número dos, puedes encontrar el Libro Hebreo de Enoch: Este texto también es llamado: "El Libro de los palacios". Este escrito es de lectura muy interesante y llamativa, enigmática como los demás. En este texto se narra la ascensión del profeta Enoc a los cielos. El libro mismo enseña que fue escrito por el rabino Ismael, quien después de las visiones sucedidas en el cielo, llega a convertirse en "sumo sacerdote". El rabino Ismael en un representante que se destaca dentro de la literatura judía. Al parecer, este tercer libro de Enoc fue escrito originalmente en el idioma hebreo. Se puede concluir, que los escritores de este tercer tomo tenían conocimiento del primero. Este libro nos enseña mucho acerca del pensamiento religioso, místico y espiritual del pueblo hebreo. Este tercer libro de Enoc, nos permite ver que Enoc sigue siendo el personaje preferido para compartir desde su figura los secretos y misterios del pensamiento hebreo respecto a lo sobrenatural y a los comienzos del mundo. En este Libro Hebreo de Enoch encontrarás temas como: La ascensión de Enoc al cielo. Los siete cielos. Las siete montañas de metales preciosos. Las esferas celestiales. Los diez tiempos. Tiempos finales. Los arcángeles caídos. La muerte, los cielos y los infiernos. La Sabiduría, el León y Enoc escondido. Los siete guerreros. Entre otros temas de gran interés. Los resultados y hallazgos de esta investigación merecen ser conocidos debido a la probabilidad de que las historias de los textos Mesopotámicos realmente sucedieran. Las propuestas del libro difieren de lo que hemos aprendido en las instituciones educativas sobre el origen de la humanidad e invitan al pensamiento crítico para reflexionar sobre la historia de los dioses Anunnaki.
