Con esto se gana, sobre todo, una nueva imagen de Dios: un Dios que habla en el corazón del hombre y emplea un lenguaje dulce y afable, un Dios que ya no intimida, pero que vincula sólo en la medida en que habla el lenguaje del amor. Se trata también de ilustrar las condiciones históricas que pesan sobre la formulación de los Diez Mandamientos y de interpretarlos. Aquí se pone en relación el carácter imperativo de los mandamientos con la pregunta por las condiciones psicológicas de su cumplimiento, y ello se hace teniendo en cuenta que la propia conciencia humana es el resultado de una larga historia de evolución animal. Eugen Drewermann, doctor en Teología, nacido en 1940, es posiblemente el teólogo más conocido en nuestros días. Tras serle retirada la autorización a enseñar y el ejercicio del sacerdocio, ha trabajado como terapeuta y escritor.

In her illuminating interdisciplinary study of Spanish fiction of the "Silver Age," Roberta Johnson places this important body of Spanish literature in context through a synthesis of social, literary, and philosophical history. Her examination of the work of Miguel de Unamuno, Pio Baroja, Azorin, Ramon Perez de Ayala, Juan Ramon Jimenez, Gabriel Miro, Pedro Salinas, Rosa Chacel, and Benjamin Jarnes brings to light philosophical frictions and debates and opens new interpersonal and intertextual perspectives on many of the period's most canonical novels. Johnson reformulates the traditional discussion of generations and "isms" by viewing the period as an intergenerational complex in which writers with similar philosophical and personal interests constituted dynamic groupings that interacted and constantly defined and redefined one another.
