Por una parte, se aprende a serlo sin que se enseñe de una manera explícita, pero además las competencias parentales se adquieren de una manera implícita, desde el momento mismo del nacimiento, incluso desde la vida intrauterina. Hoy sabemos que las capacidades de apegarse y empatizar son fundamentales para ser una madre o un padre suficientemente bueno y que estas capacidades emergen en la maravillosa experiencia de la impronta, del apego y del buen trato. Los buenos tratos a la infancia y las competencias parentales son parte de un mismo proceso. Estas páginas están dirigidas a describir este proceso y su corolario: cuando las historias de vida y los contextos sociales y culturales no permiten que los adultos adquieran esas competencias, existe un riesgo que reaccionen inadecuadamente con sus hijos o hijas y, en los casos más graves, produzcan los diferentes tipos de malos tratos infantiles. Las crías humanas son totalmente dependientes de las competencias de sus madres y padres o de otros sus cuidadores para sobrevivir y desarrollarse sanamente. Por esta razón, evaluar las competencias y la resiliencia parental resulta esencial para paliar las consecuencias en los hijos de las incompetencias parentales, para organizar programas de apoyo para madres y padres y para tomar las mejores decisiones en casos de divorcio. Research into homosexuality in Spain is in its infancy. The last ten or fifteen years have seen a proliferation of studies on gender in Spain but much of this work has concentrated on women's history, literature and femininity. In contrast to existing research which concentrates on literature and literary figures, "Los Invisibles" focuses on the change in cultural representation of same-sex activity of through medicalisation, social and political anxieties about race and the late emergence of homosexual sub-cultures in the last quarter of the twentieth century. As such, this book constitutes an analysis of discourses and ideas from a social history and medical history position. Much of the research for the book was supported by a grant from the Wellcome Trust to research the medicalisation of homosexuality in Spain.

This transformation characterizes «capitalist patriarchy» including «socialism». Its demise is due to the «alchemical» destruction of the world's resources, thought of, theologically legitimized and fetishized as «creation». This violence is not recognized. Elites have, instead, begun with a new «military alchemy», treating the whole Planet as weapon of mass destruction. Hence, the «Planetary Movement for Mother Earth».
