The program is divided into grants awarded to individuals and groups of researchers for research expenses in support of a spectrum of research activities; operating grants which assist in the promotion and maintenance of a diversified base of high quality research in the natural sciences and engineering in Canadian universities; and targeted research, including collaborative research initiatives, equipment grants, general research grants, and other general support. There is also a program of grants and scholarships administered on behalf of other departments, agencies and organizations, such as CIDA, NATO, Canadian Shield Foundation research awards, and visiting fellowships. This document lists the recipients of these grants alphabetically within categories, gives the title of the project, the type of project, and the amount of the grant.
