The deceased was born in Branford but had been a resident of this town for upward of seventy years. She was a daughter of John Tyler, who served in the revolution. He was one of the number who figured in the historic Boston harbor tea party, being one of those who assisted in throwing the tea overboard. He was also one of the party who went to England and returned on the same vessel which brought back the treaty of peace.
