Book Let s Enjoy Our Peanut Butter in Many Different Ways Any Day of the Week

Download or read book Let s Enjoy Our Peanut Butter in Many Different Ways Any Day of the Week written by Ted Alling and published by Issara Kaavinsupon. This book was released on 2020-03-19 with total page 67 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you have a child or more than one who does not like peanut butter, you might have found yourself really puzzled on what to pack them for lunch instead of an easy peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Most of us grow up eating many of P&J sandwiches and not only they are yummy, they have so much nutritious value that our parents did not mind making them over and over. I had to find other alternatives for my wonderful son, now a teenager who still does not like the taste or texture of peanut butter. However, I do, very much so like peanut butter and I have been looking for new ways, new recipes to sneak it in so he can get used to the taste. I prepared over the years recipes with peanut butter sauce, peanut butter frosting, and peanut butter mixed with chocolate, of course in many desserts. I am not giving up quite yet, because everyone’s taste keeps changing over the years and meanwhile I can enjoy all these recipes I am trying. In this book I will share many very unique recipes I have developed after experimenting with the well-known peanut butter. This Peanut Butter Cookbook is actually one I am particularly proud, because it does include some ways to create recipes, really using ideas outside the box. Peanut butter and desserts go together, that’s a no brainer. But people might not always think to put in a stew or in a soup. That’s where I come in with some very adventurous Peanut butter recipes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Contributions by Emma Frances Bloomfield, Sheila Bock, Kristen Bradley, Hannah Chapple, James Deutsch, Máirt Hanley, Christine Hoffmann, Kate Parker Horigan, Shelley Ingram, John Laudun, Jordan Lovejoy, Lena Marander-Eklund, Jennifer Morrison, Willow G. Mullins, Anne Pryor, Todd Richardson, and Claire Schmidt The weather governs our lives. It fills gaps in conversations, determines our dress, and influences our architecture. No matter how much our lives may have moved indoors, no matter how much we may rely on technology, we still monitor the weather. Wait Five Minutes: Weatherlore in the Twenty-First Century draws from folkloric, literary, and scientific theory to offer up new ways of thinking about this most ancient of phenomena. Weatherlore is a concept that describes the folk beliefs and traditions about the weather that are passed down casually among groups of people. Weatherlore can be predictive, such as the belief that more black than brown fuzz on a woolly bear caterpillar signals a harsh winter. It can be the familiar commentary that eases daily social interactions, such as asking, “Is it hot (or cold) enough for you?” Other times, it is simply ubiquitous: “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change.” From detailing personal experiences at picnics and suburban lawns to critically analyzing storm stories, novels, and flood legends, contributors offer engaging multidisciplinary perspectives on weatherlore. As we move further into the twenty-first century, an increasing awareness of climate change and its impacts on daily life calls for a folkloristic reckoning with the weather and a rising need to examine vernacular understandings of weather and climate. Weatherlore helps us understand and shape global political conversations about climate change and biopolitics at the same time that it influences individual, group, and regional lives and identities. We use weather, and thus its folklore, to make meaning of ourselves, our groups, and, quite literally, our world.

Book excerpt: What do Gregory Abbott, Boy Meets Girl, Lou Christie, Club Nouveau, Gardner Cole, Cutting Crew, Rick Dees, The Escape Club, Expose, Michael Sembello, Billy Vera & the Beaters, Rob Hyman, Tiffany, The Knack, A Taste of Honey and Wild Cherry all have in common? For starters, they are all pop stars that have enjoyed the experience of having their songs reach the Number One position on the American music charts. They are also among the 140 artists who responded to writer Randolph Michael's call to be questioned for this book, Flashbacks to Happiness, which is a survey of hit songs of the 1980's and what it took to make them. Readers who are interested in popular music, and the '80's decade in particular, will find the interviews included within these pages to be fascinating testaments of how the music industry has changed to such a drastic extent in the last 20 years. It also details how artists have managed to keep their careers alive despite today's increasingly unstable marketplace and often-fickle music buying public.

Book excerpt: Sara Barnes thought her life was perfectly ordinary – until the night she began stepping into other people’s dreams. Follow Sara as she learns to cope with this extraordinary gift (or curse) in the first three books of the Dream Doctor Mysteries: DREAM STUDENT It’s bad enough that, thanks to her supernatural talent, Sara is learning more than she ever needed to know about her friends and classmates, watching their most secret fantasies whether she wants to or not. Much worse are the other dreams, the ones she sees nearly every night, featuring a strange, terrifying man who commits unspeakable crimes. Now Sara wonders if she’s the only witness to a serial killer – and the only one who knows when and where he’s going to strike next. DREAM DOCTOR Medical school and life as a newlywed would be enough by themselves for anybody to handle. But Sara’s got another problem – her dreams have started up again. Almost everyone at the medical school is dreaming about the death of the school’s least popular teacher, Dr. Morris, and once again, Sara finds herself in the role of unwilling witness to a murder before it happens. But this time, there are too many suspects to count, and it doesn’t help matters that she hates Dr. Morris every bit as much as any of his would-be murderers do. DREAM CHILD Sara thought she had made peace with her dreaming talent, but she’s got a surprise coming: her four-year-old daughter has inherited it, too. Unraveling a mystery with lives on the line is difficult enough under the best of circumstances. But when Sara has to view all the evidence through the eyes – and dreams - of a toddler, it may be an impossible task.

Book How to Raise an Intuitive Eater

Download or read book How to Raise an Intuitive Eater written by Sumner Brooks and published by St. Martin's Essentials. This book was released on 2022-01-04 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With the wisdom of Intuitive Eating, a manifesto for parents to help them reject diet culture and raise the next generation to have a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. Kids are born intuitive eaters. Well-meaning parents, influenced by the diet culture that surrounds us all, are often concerned about how to best feed their children. Nearly everyone is talking about what to do about the childhood obesity epidemic. Meanwhile, every proposed solution for how to feed kids to promote health and prevent weight-related health concerns don’t mention the importance of one thing: a healthy relationship with food. The consequences can be disastrous and are indistinguishable from the predictable and well-researched impact that dieting has on adults. Weight cycling, low self-esteem, deviations from normal growth, and eating disorders are just some of the negative health effects children can experience from the fear-based approach to food and eating that has become the norm in our culture. Sumner Brooks and Amee Severson believe that parents want the best for their kids and know a parent’s job is to make them feel safe in the world and their bodies. They want them to grow up to be competent, healthy eaters, living their best lives in the bodies they were born to have. Intuitive Eating is more talked about than ever, and the time is now to make sure parents truly understand what it means to raise an intuitive eater. With a compassionate and relatable voice, How to Raise an Intuitive Eater is the only book of its kind to teach parents what they need to know to improve health, happiness, and wellbeing for the littlest among us.

Book excerpt: This book is a collection of works, discoveries gained through Clyde Anthony''s dreams and visions. But more than that, through Carolyn Frances it''s a communication with a consciousness that comes directly from the realm of dreams and visions, a conscious awareness that proclaims their power, bearing testimony to their place in human history, and their worth in the human search for meaning, a search that is borne by individual abilities, the strength of the species called Human. This book is an affirmation of that search, a testimony to the fertility of humankind''s inner life and consciousness, which though it is fueled by beliefs, exists in life''s fecund grounds of being, beyond life itself, directly to its great sources. No other book goes deeper into this direct experience, which is a dance with Earth itself, the direct power of life: "Past on memory-sky, seed of Creature Universe moving the black winds of centuries to come." "Oh creature, Human, great gifts you bear on the vastness of time. Together, Earth- and Human sings the life, proclaiming its destined desires, dancing through space, hungry for the knowledge-truth, who are we... We come together to light the spark in the dark hours of time."
